Picking my graphite 512 GB iPhone 12 Pro Max at the USP Customer Center.
This lady really saved me back in Sept when I lost my FOID card and my retired military ID card in the center. She found them and my Apple Watch which UPS had lost and made sure I got them all back. She will also cheerfully move heaven and earth to help you. I gave her 2 doz donuts to share with her friends for the help. Yesterday she helped me set it up so that I could pick up my phone there today. (For some reason the CC was not listed among the sites that you could schedule a pickup. She is a total credit to UPS.

That is a whole new level of obsession and I am not talking about Calvin Klein. :p

:D

I broke my first screen ever in over 10 years over a year ago. It's an XS Max. I was leaning towards getting the 11 last year and broke it about 3 weeks before I could trade it in. Been living with it since because I was too cheap to pay for the repair (no AppleCare). Today it becomes a new backup / beta device.

So yes, I'm a little obsessed today. But I have great reason to be excited as well. I'll finally have a whole screen again. Plus I'll finally get to play with night mode. It was that addition last year that was pushing me to trade and not finish paying it off. The broken screen made the choice for me.

And no, I didn't get AppleCare this year either. I skipped it on the 3G, 4, 5, 6+, X, XS Max. I've needed it once. I would have paid well over a thousand over the years for something I've needed once. Doesn't seem worth it.

I wasn’t sure I would like the graphite but decided it would be in a case 98% of the time so it wouldn’t matter, however, after looking at it I really like it. It looks very high ”techy” ?

My setup is done except....
Verizon.
The setup wizard is supposed to transfer your esim over. It didn’t. So now one of my phone lines doesn’t work. And it’s the important one of course.
Then as. Soon as I put the SIM card in for the second line, Verizon sent me a text saying that it’s the old card and not compatible with 5g. So I guess I get to go see my friends at the Verizon store today ?.
I love that company and their services but my word the provisioning problems, that they make the customers go through.
Yeah, I had the same issue with my Verizon sim. The older XS Max 4G sim was conflicting with this new 5G 12 Pro Max sim card. I just could not activate the new Verizon sim card. (I did get aa 5G icon on the 12 Pro Max (I GUESS I get it around here), but putting my XS Max old sim card would just show 4g/lte)

Finally got into my acct. to enter the special ID number, they texted me a special code however went to my older XS Max...ugh, it was becoming a comedy of errors. After I got this code worked out, it worked. Still took about 20 min for the new phone to activate. Looks like I'm ok now.
