I ordered my iPhone 12 Pro Max when preorders opened, and it was supposed to be delivered by UPS on November 13th. I waited home all day for the package. There were other UPS packages delivered to my address earlier in the day, but not the phone unfortunately. UPS assured me that the phone was still out for delivery and would be delivered by 9PM. At 9:01 PM, the status for the phone changed to 'delivered', but the package was not outside of my front or rear doors. There was no knock on the door, and my doorbell camera didn't alert me of anyone's presence/detected motion at that time. Needless to say, UPS didn't deliver the phone to me. Apple opened an investigation and sent me a replacement phone. It was mailed on Nov 19th (and I immediately requested UPS to hold it for pickup from the nearest customer care center), but it has been stuck in Shanghai since then. There hasn't been a physical scan since the 19th. I called UPS today, and they told me to have Apple open an investigation since it's been more than 3 days without a physical scan. Apple has the expected delivery day as tomorrow, and they can't open an investigation until 3 days after the expected delivery day. Anyone else having the same issue with their package being stuck in Shanghai since the 19th?

I have the same updates on my sister-in-law's phone. Same updates, same days, almost same times.

The only thing is that it can get held up in customs for couple days, that's the only part that I don't like order new iPhones after they are release. But its like if there were fully in stock at apples stores and there warehouse, and if I order a phone normally I would it get the next day or the following days, but since these phones are news and have high demand everything has to come from china

I was also trying to contact Apple to check on the order status but can't get any specialist for order status though the online chat. and my order says

Still in processing stage- but also mentions this
We have everything necessary to complete your order. We’ll update your delivery date when your order is preparing to ship.

If they have everything why haven't they moved to preparing for shipment status? and the arrival date is Dec. 1 to 8 and I order on Nov. 9.

If they have everything need to complete the order they should of shipped it already- but I know with days things can be different. I really want to get that new phone here so I can set it up and then send the other phone back so i can get the credit for the trade in.

The phone is actually for my mom since her iPhone 6s battery needs to be replaced and with everything going on we did not want to go to a apple store and get it replaced, then you never know if apple would replace it on spot or have to send some where if they had to send the 6s somewhere then my mom would be without a phone for like 3 to 5 days which would not be good.

It appears there is an update on 11/24/2020 that your package is delayed. Sometime it can take a while to go through customs. I'm sure it will start moving soon. Good luck

And, I just got this in an email from Apple:

We're replacing your items.
Order Number: Wxxxxxxxx

You'll receive a notification email once your items ship.
Visit Order Status for more information about your order.
Did you figure out what the heck is going on? Mine supposedly had already shipped.

EDIT:

Well, they lost my iPhone and are sending me another one... loL?

That’s buy one, get one free, right? That’s a great deal! Is your current order for one or two? Oops, I see you’ve already made that decision. Hope you like them. Mine are going back.

Yup I cancelled the first order before they shipped it out on the 30th. Totallee have a 50% off sale but not on the 12 series

question about Peel, what material is this made out of? I prefer TPU for some reason, I'm very cautious if it's Polycarbonate.

According to their website, the clear cases are made of an improved TPU. I had the soft clear, but didn’t like the buttons so I’m sending it back. I’m trying the Caudabe hard clear case now.

I got the same e-mail last night. So I guess Apple is considering them to be lost in transit. I don't see it updated on my order status page yet though. I'll probably call them later. This will be the second replacement phone shipped to me. ☹️

Unfortunately though I adapted to it (eventually) this years case is very much the same as described. I'm still teetering on the idea of returning it since it scruffed the edge of my PB iPhone band... not the band itself but the part of the band you see when looking at the front or back of the phone. I'll try to post a picture.

Pretty bummed out. Now I'm terrified of cases... though I can't be trusted without one. I constantly use my Levi's jackets "inner pocket cut outs" as if they are actual pockets and I've had the phone fall a time or two when I bent over a couple of times. Luckily it wasn't a far fall.

Either way I'm annoyed that the case did that to my phone because it's difficult to get the case on/off and I'm pretty sure the camera bump lip did the scratching. My husband bought me an off brand: Diaclara silicone case and I finally decided to try it out and it feels a million times better than the MagSafe case... though it works with MagSafe it doesn't magnetize as nicely as the Apple brand. Anyway... I'm going to keep a sharp eye out to make sure the silicone case doesn't cause further damage to my band. This case slips on and off so you don't feel like the phone is taking the abuse. The drop test is what I'm uncertain of at this point.

I'm really quite peeved about the slight damage the Apple case caused.

EDIT: Added photos... please excuse the dust/lint on the nakey phone. Please note that a few some of what's seen here is the light reflecting on the phone in the middle. It's the right and left side that became scuffed. DUDE this phone is a lint magnet... anyone else feel that way?

I also added the orange knock off case. It feels soooooo nice compared to the Clear MS case. Also, excuse my hair... it's not a good hair day. LOL.

Ugh. I am so sorry about the scratches on your iPhone.

I'm also not trusting hard cases on this year's phone, specifically with the PB. Fortunately, I bought another 12 PM and returned my original because I noticed my front facing camera was doing some weird things. That got me a clean new phone (with a brighter screen too) so nothing is going on but soft cases or a case with a lining on the inside.

I received the Plum and Kumquat cases last week. I feel like it is the silicone cases that are lint magnets and not necessarily the phone. I'm going to keep them because I like the colors, but they won't be worn for long stretches.

Also, I bought the M1 MBA 8/8/512 yesterday. I'm going to keep this until the iMac comes out. Then I'll change this to whatever the redesign will eventually be. Hope you're enjoying your M1 MBP!
