For those of you that ordered a MagSafe wallet and were showing a different color from the one you actually ordered... well, I was one of those - I ordered the black one and it changed to saddle brown; I just checked the order status and it's back to black ?,but now delivery date of late November/early December :(

For those of us dreaming it could come early

“it could happen”

now for those of you lining up to tell me no way, instead see if anyone knows what movie that is a quote from
I would say there's no way they would allow that. But you know with the high shipment volume and import delays lately maybe Apple isn't going to be holding them and just let them deliver.

Probably also depends on your iPhone configuration and maybe your location. I ordered iPhone pro blue 256gb sim free and am in north California.
I'm in northern CA. Exact same phone as yours, but configured for Verizon. Ordered through Apple via the app. 5:02 am order confirmation email.

But I do understand that Apple is processing a massive amount of orders. It seems like they go generally FIFO, but that doesn't necessarily mean each specific order is processed first in, first out *precisely*. In the end I'll get my phone on 10-23 the same as everyone else. But that doesn't mean I can't or won't obsess about it now. ?

That sounds like another problem. I’ve been able to track it on Apple.com and have seen it progress from “order placed” > “processing” > ”preparing for shipment”

Mine has been showing normally on the Apple App and website since I ordered what's wrong with yours?
It’s so weird. I tried looking it up using my order history from my Apple ID but it did not show up. Then I click the link in the confirmation email and it shows up just fine. Says it’s preparing to ship. I clicked the button that says add to your Apple ID entered my phone number as requested and now it all shows up fine. Thanks for the nudge.

mine is also stuck on “processing.” Talked to a chat rep this morning and they said the order was still okay but I haven’t gotten any charge from Apple and so I’m definitely concerned seeing everyone else’s go through

Fixed it by clicking the link from the confirmation email

I’m 99.9% sure that Apple isn’t allowing early deliveries, it’s been like that with every iPhone/iPad. I remember my OG iPad sitting at FedEx facility for like 2 days and they wouldn’t allow me to pick it up either until the release date.

Ya but this is the first iPhone delivery during a pandemic. UPS/FedEx have been very busy and sometimes over capacity. Exceptions might be made considering a lot of carries don't have room to store thousands or more iPhones for no reason. If Apple had a thing with UPS not to deliver until 10/23 the tracking would show 10/23.

not necessarily. In the past, dates were shifted later. Shipping emails haven’t even been sent yet.

I have a delivery date of Wednesday the 21st, as well; I fully expect that to change to the 23rd, once it reaches the US.

I’m betting the phones don’t deliver early: UPS can just hold them at the hubs until delivery day if that’s what Apple wants. It’ll drive us all crazy. ?

Maybe its just my memory, but in the past i have personally ALWAYS received a tracking number with the date being the following friday... never earlier than that. This year I initially received a date with it being wednesday.

Mine accidentally got ordered to an old address across the country that for some reason popped up during Apple Pay. I’ve already called Apple twice to change it and they claim they did but it’s still showing it’s going to ship to old address. Any way for me to get ups to change it themselves at this point??

Ya I’ve never seen them earlier. If UPS isn’t allowed to deliver until friday it should have shown Friday. The date tentative is because it hasn’t cleared customs and that’s outside UPS control.

No you can’t change the address with UPS the shipper has to do that.

Not everyone’s is showing up.
Mine is still not showing up! Looks like some of y’all got lucky by getting the scanner. Hoping it shows up soon for all of us.
