I’m having mine held at the UPS store for pickup tomorrow. I have one a few minutes from where I work, so I’m hoping to be able to sneak out for a bit to pick it up!

Unless things have changed in the past holding at an UPS store added an extra business day to delivery. Which would put delivery Monday.

So now finally I have an update, based on the departure scan where should be that plane? Lol

Just for funsies I took a peek at the other pre-order threads. Amateurs. Some of them haven’t even hit 100 pages yet.

I had to return a screen protector at Best Buy today and the guy said "Oh XS Max, did you preorder through Best Buy?" I wanted to laugh...but just said no, Apple. I've peeked in those BB Threads in the past, this recent one...ouch. Not saying this hasn't been stressful for many...but BB is a whole other pile of unorganized chaos.

NO way i would ever consider a Best Buy pre order for an Apple device.

Now gotta wait til 4am when flight leaves for the local airport then a 1/2 drive to the hub

Is it just me or is someone else having visions of Cook and Ahrendts taking turns whooping UPS execs.
Seriously UPS does advertise itself as being a logistics company. It seems they don’t do logistics well internally - never mind for anyone else.

They were paid to move millions of iPhones from China to thousands of cities and millions of customers. Seems to be that they are going to be able to accomplish that so I’m pretty sure a little computer glitch for diehard status trackers is not something high in their importance list.

Is that bad?

I’ll have to go take a look. The only other place I’ve ordered from is AT&T. One year was fine, another year was oh so screwed up.

Anyone know if its too late to put in a request for hold for pickup? My phone seems to be landing in Louisville then needs to get here in the next like 6 hours (probably a ~2 hour flight). I have it set for delivery at my local UPS store but 1) I dont know if the request went through for that so I feel like it'd be safer to tell them to hold it and 2) I could get it from work.

Just dont know if 6ish hours is enough time especially cause its midnight EST.

A.) it’s plenty of time and B.) youre likely going to be delayed sending it to your store anyway so you should switch it. If past history shows store redirects are always last

How can someone explain those scans?!?!?!
The whole time I've been tracking this week I saw that extra stuff about customs and clearance only once. I think its boilerplate text info to make you believe something is happening or just a very general explanation of what's going on. Maybe it's intended to keep customers from contacting agents by giving them information on what might be happening.

No, since 99.9% of buyers don’t stress over arrival scans, departure scans, airplane speed, etc.

And now a delivery date of 9/25...3 days early...hah.

And of course, I'm out of town every day next week.

Wait,,,I'm flying to Louisville on Tuesday...think they'll hold it there for me?? Can I get it delivered to a completely different address? Like my hotel??

Or maybe replied to Tim Cook with --

"Yeah, sorry about that. I think it was one of your AirPower charging mats that caused the issue. Yeah. I went there. I did. Don't think we need to continue the convo as we both have stuff to get to work on."

I would beg to differ a bit. Granted IF they deliver tomorrow this will be just a glitch. However this is a company that openly advertises itself as being both a logistics company and a world class shipping company. I think they have failed to meet that standard here.

2:10'ers, if you are in the Bay Area, the next three scheduled UPS (5X) flights SDF-OAK are:

5X 942 2:55am EDT - 4:02am PDT
5X 952 3:15am EDT - 4:24am PDT
5X 946 3:36am EDT - 4:44am PDT

That's what I'm getting from flightaware, anyways. Flightstats gives different departure times but the same arrival times.
