Just got mine set up, Apple put on a screen protector too. No Apple leather case in stock but I got a nice Belkin one clear back and bottom back/side is black, very nice looking. 256GB Product Red. I upgraded from a 6S regular size and trust me this phone is huge compared to that.

Did you get the case from the Apple store too? I'm curious what I'll find as far as cases when I go in later today. (I've seen what's online--maybe there's more in person?)

Yes, hate putting screen protectors on s that was nice, I just had a friend take a pic of the phone in the otterbox case for me.

12.0 for me, got it updated while in store to set up face ID and everything from icloud backup.

Got my white 128gb! Just waiting on the worlds longest backup process on my 7 before I swap em out. This is always terrifying for me - updating the iOS and restoring from backup is usually fraught with crashes and last minute error codes. Cross your fingers for me.

Thank you! I'm going to be using a backup from my 8+ and I'm still on 12.0, so I was debating updating but I'll keep it as is. Still waiting on my UPS driver but I'm enjoying reading everyone's posts while I wait!

My 64gb Blue Tmo came with 12.0.1

My XR Blue 256 GB AT&T model I ordered from Apple had 12.0 but during the setup and restore process iTunes automatically updated it to 12.0.1

My brother is not as tech savvy and texts me on Saturday that he wants to upgrade his IP6.
I explained the options and he goes with the yellow Xr, 256 GB. Ordered it via Apple app. Says delivery Nov 8 - 12. Couldn't have let me know a week earlier so I could pre-order?

If you buy it through the Apple IUP it will be unlocked even if has a specific carriers sim. Nothing misleading about, the web site is very, very clear about this.
