You still haven’t specified a product. Back your argument up with data. And as I said, Vision Pro is exactly that

Truth is there really isn’t that much innovation out there in the tech space, and Apple isn’t the kind of company to chase stupid gimmicks like foldables
Nope, VR is just a VR headset ripoff. Added iPhone hardware, lots of cameras, sensors and two super expensive displays. Alone the initial setup is cumbersome and something Jobs would have been furious about.

But new products aren't hard to find:
  • OpenAI works together with Ive on a new AI product (https://www.theverge.com/2024/9/21/24250867/jony-ive-confirms-collaboration-openai-hardware).
  • Apple failed completely in the EV market. Android has taken over and for sure BMW or Porsche were in talks with Apple but couldn't figure out a deal. They also could have sold CPUs and GPUs to car manufacturers. And even if Apple car failed, they could have sold the car architecture.
  • One of latest Jobs comments was "'I'd like to create an integrated television set that is completely easy to use,' .. 'It will have the simplest user interface you could imagine. I finally cracked it.'". But I guess Jobs didn't explain the details to anyone.
  • Apple could build a Ring for payment and HR monitoring (and introduce new breakthrough technologies https://www.techexplorist.com/researchers-use-wood-capture-body-heat-energy-generation/92005/).
  • Apple could follow NVidia in the robotic field. Boston Dynamics, Tesla, NVidia are in - humanoid robots will be the next big thing. Apple could start with a dog.
  • Apple could open their products just a little bit, like using the Apple Watch as a normal HR monitor with every device that can connect to a HR belt (I know Apple wants to sell Gymkit - but this is a fail).
  • you name it ... billions of ideas are waiting to get alive.

Yes it would have.

It is a monitor for a single person with a 2 hour battery life that effectively runs iPad apps. It has no input controls besides pinching, so it can't be used for productivity - only media consumption.

I thought it could be used as a screen for Mac?

Cook has done an incredible job selling millions of their current devices but what new innovations has he brought?

All of his "innovations" are ways to overcharge customers

He's an OPs guy (not a product guy) and it shows

Everything they do now works backwards from cost cutting, streamlining Ops and figuring out creative ways to further boost margins

None of it starts with and prioritizes the "best products for the customers" anymore

I know the super fans seem to think this will be fine forever, but it won't

I thought it could be used as a screen for Mac?

Like I said, It's a monitor. It's not a computer. It's not a productivity device. As a stand-alone product it is nothing more than the world's most inconvenient media consumption device.

if apple is scaling down vision pro then there isn't going to be a M5 version next year it wouldn't help with the sales it would just waste more of apple resources the best thing for them to do is wait till 2026 for M6 or greater and cheaper price

I was at the Bellevue Square store a few days back (Bellevue, WA - Very well off area) and the place was packed ... except for the AVP table

I'm not joking - I was there using iPads for almost 30 mins and not a single person I saw even hesitated at that spot to have a glance

"Uninterested" is being kind
Same. Bellevue Square is always packed with customers but in my frequent visits the AVP has nearly zero interest. I may have seen one, possibly two people looking at AVP in my last handful of visits.

That would make sense, it’s not like Apple advertises it.
