Now that iPad Pro has an M4, so many people will be skipping the M3 and will wait for M4 in MacBooks. Maybe Apple can annouce them at WWDC

M4 going into the iPad first makes me think yields are probably still ramping so MacBook Pro refresh this Fall, I expect.

Would love to see the desktops get M4 love at WWDC, however. M4 in Mac Mini and M4 Ultra for Studio and Mac Pro.

Marketing has been doing copy and paste for almost a decade now. They need to contract some third party ideas or just fire the entire department and hire new blood.

M4 might have some very specific and unique (but Apple will not explain in public) chip-design / performance / feature etc., so Apple decides to test it on iPad Pro instead of on those upcoming Macs, just guessing...

My guess is iPad Pro does not sell in huge quantities so a good way to absorb the initial production capacity until yields max out.

M4 up to 10 core.. I doubt that it will have 6 perf cores, so base M4 is 2 perf + 6 eff?
