If this new change makes it where I can’t continue to block ads using either NextDNS or AdGuard VPN, I will promptly stop subscribing.

I don’t think he has an app on the App Store.god help us
How do they know how much revenue to collect, data. Simple data like screen times and length are gold mines. Any data shared is valuable data. If you believe otherwise, think again.Do you have proof that “Apple is now selling” user data?
First, your 'nothing is free' argument is not really valid. Last time I checked, I paid a significant amount of money for these devices. Second, I am deeply integrated into the ecosystem. I use several Apple devices and even pay for some of their services, and switching to another ecosystem would cost me both a lot of time and money. But you are not in that ecosystem, right? So why do you care?
Considering I have to pay for News, ads are not welcomed. I will no longer pay for News.
I’ve started noticing more annoying video ads in News even with the subscription service.
thought they already did. won’t use it because even the paid version has ads.
I think that, having paid for a subscription, one shouldn't have to deal with ads at all
You're all paying for the regular News+ subscription though, right? So you pay for News and then get adds too. That is not right. News is not cheap.
But Apple News is not free, isn’t it? I don’t know it’s not available in my country. What don't you understand about “nothing is free”?
Amazon Prime used to include ad free content as part of the subscription. Now you have to pay an additional $3/mo to get rid of ads. Same goes for Youtube except it’s $14/mo. If you refuse to accept ads you will wind up watching OTA broadcasting where commercial minutes outnumber content minutes. Yeah, it sucks
Sounds like they are copying MicrosoftStep 1: Retain and lock users in the ecosystem (under the promise of privacy). Step 2: Force feed them ads they can't avoid because they are part of the operating system.
In this day and age? lolDo you have proof that “Apple is now selling” user data?
If Apple's getting deeper into ads, I guess we should expect an Apple TV+ with ads tier soon similar to Hulu, Disney+, Netflix, etc.Apple Further Expanding Into Ads, Now Directly Selling Ads in News App
The News app is free to use and contains a great deal of content. You can subscribe to News+ for additional content like magazines and newspapers, and other exclusive content, just like Apple TV+ subscription. The free part of the News app is quite useful for a lot of people. I would be surprised if the ads are intended for News+ subscribers. But Apple News is not free, isn’t it? I don’t know it’s not available in my country.
If you want cheaper subscription prices then yes, you should expect ads as part of the deal, as well as no Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Atmos (spacial audio), just like the streaming services you mentioned. If Apple's getting deeper into ads, I guess we should expect an Apple TV+ with ads tier soon similar to Hulu, Disney+, Netflix, etc.
News+ subscribers have ads right now, (Google sense) along with the free version users. I see no reason why Apple would change that model. The News app is free to use. You can subscribe to News+ for additional content like magazines and newspapers, and other exclusive content. The free part of the News app is quite useful for a lot of people. I would be surprised if the ads are intended for News+ subscribers.
Precisely why I just cancelled Amazon Prime after about a decade of continuous subscribing. If it's free, I tolerate ads. We all understand that services have to be paid for somehow, if I'm the one paying for it, no way will I put up with being subject to bloody adverts.I think that, having paid for a subscription, one shouldn't have to deal with ads at all
So Apple is becoming more like Google. Did they forget that the main reason for buying overpriced Apple products is that people hate Google?
The only people that would know are people buying ad space from apple.Do you have proof that “Apple is now selling” user data?
