Orders are declined.

If some orders get through, they are cancelled at the preparing to ship stage.
I know this is kind of obvious, but it's not your credit card by any chance is it? You could always mark your card as missing/stolen and have a new one issued with a new number.

Many years back, one of my credit cards was blacklisted by ebay/PayPal. No idea why, I never had any issues or anything like that. A new card solved that.

Pretty sure they'll all be reserved for pre-orders mate, usually are at Lakeside/Regents St/Covent Garden on release day.
Bromley is my “local” store.

What do you think are my chances?
Rly? In the big stores like @Grayburn mentioned yes they would be reserved like that as these stores do get a lot of people lining up for the iPhone on launch day.

But if it’s a smaller store in the mall like the one you mentioned then they would have stock available as soon as launch day for iPhone. 📱 I was at my local Apple Store (Victoria Gardens) the Sunday after launch and they had the iPhones available on the spot. Saw people buying them without online ordering.

Yesterday on Amazon a credit card was declined several times. Then I put in two other ones and after that it worked to put the wanted one in when I tried to place an order. Very strange.

I only wanted to save an alternative for my debit (credit) card because the corresponding bank account had not enough money on it for my subscription orders, that will come in a few days.

Over the years I often experienced that some cards are not accepted at a store and later it worked again.

Have you tried another card if you have more than one?

If you use a VPN service maybe deactivate it while the payment process.

I had my card replaced, same problem.

I tried my other card/account, same problem.

Wait, you tried to pre-order an iPhone 17?
Too early bruv 😂
Basically, I have mental health issues, and I had a psychotic episode.

I was hallucinating, and was very unwell.

I was unboxing new straps, when police and paramedics arrived at my place.

There were boxes all over the floor, and I was completely disoriented.

I was forced out of my place, by the police, because the paramedics said I didn’t have capacity to stay safe.

I was taken to hospital.

When I eventually got back home, there was opened packaging, but no straps.

I called Apple to complain, but was told that packages are weighed, and the straps were sent.

I was completely confused.

Anyway, about a week later I was cleaning my place, and what did I find under my sofa? The two straps.

I phoned Apple to tell them what had happened, and they assured me that there is no block on my account. But there clearly is, and I believe the block has come from higher up in the chain.
Hey, is that what really happened?

When you last got sectioned?

Did Apple suspend you from online shopping because the straps kept going ‘missing’?

Man, you tried to tell Apple to resend the bands to you, right?

I know that, but then what is OP talking about preordering then? There's no Apple product soon to be launched.
In general how early you can get an iPhone in an Apple Store when it comes out every year

Without online ordering or preordering it.

You can buy an unlocked iPhone from any Apple Store. Pay with cash and don’t give them your name & address details.

I had problems with Apple a few years ago. I complained about one of their customer service managers being rude to me on the phone so they blocked my iTunes account from further purchases in retaliation. The block was eventually lifted but I never got an apology or any acknowledgment of my complaint. I haven’t purchased anything from iTunes since.

I don’t think that’s how that works, I’m pretty sure that the stock intended for in-store purchases and the stock purchased online and picked up later are completely different.
Although, yes, it is likely that the stock intended for in-store pick up is very limited.

All very curious, but hmmm.....

Anyway, really weird that you get zero response back from the site as to why your order failed. Error trapping in a Shop is at the top of the list of events that are programmed for. I would suggest to disable any tracking/privacy in your browser, or try a different browser. If you are attempting to purchase from an iPhone or iPad then try a PC or a Mac. Could try escalating the issue, write emails to the boss.

In NY, I find that I can usually snag a new iPhone by walking into a store during the first week after release. I haven't tried to get one on release day itself in years. I just don't feel the impulse to get it on release day any more, and prefer to wait until the mad rush for the new model has settled down.
