I’m from Canada and I’ve always called them straps as well.Straps are what we call bands, in the UK.

He had a thread bout itNot sure if this is appropriate, but OP, I think you have posted a few times about mental health episodes. Are you getting the help you need? You are a good poster
I could see it happening. I am not saying in every case it is or even in this case. But Apple thinks Apple is always right and someone who challenges them could easily be censored from purchases. This is a common tactic in life to not have issues in the future. This was a good laugh for today.. I have never heard of anyone being blacklisted from ordering at apple…. But are you OK now?!?!
Yes, they tend to have them at launch but again you should pre-order.I just looked on the John Lewis website, and they sell unlocked iPhones.
I wonder if they have them at launch?
Thanks.Yes, they tend to have them at launch but again you should pre-order.
Re. the block, may I just check if you’ve double-checked it’s not to do with your payment method? Last year I bought the 16 Plus shortly after launch, didn’t like it when it arrived and arranged a return but then immediately tried to buy the Pro with the same card, the payment wouldn’t go through. I suspect you don’t have this issue but just thought it’s worth mentioning.
Best of luck with getting this resolved.
Suggest you go to https://privacy.apple.com/ and request a copy of your data, be sure to request your customer service interactions.Thanks.
I’ve been in touch with my bank, and they said there was a block on my card.
They removed the block, but the same thing happened with Apple.
I even tried my other card, from another bank, to no joy.
I also tried adding funds to my Apple account, which I did successfully, but even orders placed with said credit were denied/cancelled.
Now I know I can pre-order SIM free iPhones from other shops, I’ll just do that.
I can buy stuff from Apple Stores, I’ve used both cash and Apple Pay. But Apple Stores and Apple online are actually two different companies.
It was stressing me for quite a while, but now I just think f**k them.
He has. They deny blacklisting him.All this why ! Pick up the phone and ask them ………
Then he is not blacklisted !!!!! 🤷♂️He has. They deny blacklisting him.
Then he is not blacklisted !!!!! 🤷♂️
bruv is it a credit card or a debit card that you’re using? Thanks.

If he ain’t want to do Apple online store btw and needs to pre order iPhones on the web"Now I know I can pre-order SIM free iPhones from other shops, I’ll just do that."
Simple solution.
It's the OP who found the solution. If he ain’t want to do Apple online store btw and needs to pre order iPhones on the web

Well, funny story.Apple will never blacklisted anyone for a couple of straps... I don't want to be rude but something is off here.
That’s the situation.Hmmm....OK, who ever his buddy is here that has posted knowledge of the OP, I would suggest visiting him and calling Apple in his presence and attempt to resolve this. One, or multiple cards flagged for fraud, due to others having the card number, would likely also flag the owner of those cards as 'problematic'. Your garden variety Apple support person may not access to this information as the matter falls into some privacy and legal concerns. This may well be an identity theft issue also.
This is an issue that should have never played out on this forum. IMO.
Well, even with that, and I am a native speaker from these isles of ours - (and not least because the term I am familiar with is "watch strap", as the word 'strap' - as both noun and verb - can also carry other meanings), the term you used in your original post had me somewhat stumped, (puzzled) as well.Straps are what we call bands, in the UK.
Agreed that it was confusing. In the watch subforum, when people say "strap" or "band" it's obvious they are talking about watch straps/bands. But this is the iPhone subforum. So people don't have the context that the OP is an avid watch band collector.Well, even with that, and I am a native speaker from these isles of ours - (and not least because the term I am familiar with is "watch strap", as the word 'strap' - as both noun and verb - can also carry other meanings), the term you used in your original post had me somewhat stumped, (puzzled) as well.
Hope you're doing better now and possibly on terrific medication to stop further episodes. A person close to me had a few episodes and it was one of the most stressful experiences I'd had in a long time, trying to get my country's 911 to understand how messed up he was. Was never diagnosed with schizophrenia though so it might have been a combination of alcohol and bipolar.Basically, I have mental health issues, and I had a psychotic episode.
I was hallucinating, and was very unwell.
I was unboxing new watch straps, when police and paramedics arrived at my place.
There were boxes all over the floor, and I was completely disoriented.
I was forced out of my place, by the police, because the paramedics said I didn’t have capacity to stay safe.
I was taken to hospital.
Thanks, and I hope your friend is doing well.Hope you're doing better now and possibly on terrific medication to stop further episodes. I'm glad you're feeling so good now that you are still able to feel bothered by (not) getting Apple products. 🙂
