Apple iPad case rocks!!!

Have many of the happy Apple case users tried or experimented with different cases?
I'm currently umming and aaring about a case, and part of me says to just go with the Apple case. At the end of the day, it's Apple, so I know it's going to be probably as safe/secure case as anything else out there. However, I'm a little put off by it's design. There's abit of a cheap, rubbery look to it that I can't really shake of, and despite not having actually used one yet I've got doubts about it's feel. I do love the multi-angle positioning, though. That's something I'm certainly interested in.
With that said though, 3rd party manufacturers don't really seem to be taking much advantage. I was originally interested in the MacAlly Bookstand by am hearing increasingly terrible things about both the long term quality of the case itself and MacAlly as a company to deal with..
