Not sure if this has been mentioned here before, but artist stations don't seem to work on iTunes for Mac. I go to an album and select "New station from artist" in the album view. "Unknown Title" appears in the player section for a second, and then... nothing happens.

Edit: I just remembered that it actually did work on iTunes before. Another feature that stopped working by itself (playlist sharing on iOS seems to be broken now as well, and it worked before).

I already reported that.

This works for me. "Unknown Title" is displayed for 5-10 seconds, then the new station starts playing.

I don't know whether this is a bug or it's just not implemented very well, but when you download for offline listening one of Apple's curated playlists, like ones found in the "For You" section, if you want to delete the songs you have to do it individually or by album/artist. If you delete the playlist, " the songs remain on your phone. It's a bit of a pain.
Although, sometimes you can delete all the songs by just removing the playlist. It's a bit flaky.

Nope, but it does not surprise me. iCloud ...

The new Music App and the new Apple Music Service feels more like an alpha let alone a beta! They have had long enough to apply polish and stability, so how the hell have they released this mess to millions without concern o_O

Here's the main UI changes I feel would be better suiting...

  1. Connect is a mess and very confusing, it doesn't work well and so connect should be an area (feed) on each artists page.
  2. Artist pages should be heavily focused on as an artists main hub, the place where fans can find everything related to the artist.
  3. There should be more links across the entire experience, linking directly to Artist Pages from albums, tracks, playlists and various thumbnails UI wide.
  4. "Top Charts" should be a main tab and not a hard to find link from within the "New" tab.
  5. The "For You" and "New" areas are a complete mess, more organisation needs to be practiced across these areas focusing on making it easier for the user to browse Artists, Albums and Playlists, rather than all of the above being a messy mishmash of information.
  6. More design, UI and organisation traits need to be learned from the way the iTunes Store is laid out.
  7. The ability to reorder playlists from most recently added first.
  8. 320 kbps audio and a bigger catalogue of music.

List bugs below and I will do my best to add them to this post...

  • Regular Crashes (iOS)
  • Backgrounded Music App Times Out, Unloads From Memory And Stops Playing Music (iOS)
  • Similar Artists Links Don't work (iOS)
  • Unable To Start Station Errors
  • Can't Enable iCloud Music Library In Settings (iOS)
  • Beats 1 AirPlay Problems
  • Some tracks won't play - they try to stream and time out.
  • Tracks added to a play list are later missing from said playlist.
  • Trouble syncing (have to turn the iCloud library off and back on again).
  • Search sometimes wont show results for track name and remixer when its in the library.
  • Add to specific playlists sometimes works from a search but often doesn't present the option.
  • Incorrect number of followed artists.
  • Beats 1 currently playing song shows the wrong meta data.

There's a very useful bug reporting tool at bugreport.apple.com. Select iOS as the product and fill in the fields for each issue. That's a direct line to engineering to fix these problems.

Problem unless you're a developer/beta tester (as per you AppleID) it won't get routed to the proper group.

I have issues on how just to remove music from my phone.

I have selected
"Remove from my music" but that seems to remove it from the cloud also.

A few albums just have "delete" and that's it. Almost afraid to see what will happen, because when I select that, it shows "delete from iCloud music library".

What can't they just have "remove from my device"?

I don't get why some albums will say different things (some have no option with remove from my music, it just shows delete. Others won't have delete, but remove from my music. Some will say also "remove from downloads" while others don't). Is there something explaining what everything means?

Had a bug yesterday where a song that I had made available offline on my iPhone just wouldn't play anymore. It was still in the playlist but got skipped, no matter what I did. It was as if it wasn't in the playlist at all. When I got home, the Music app immediately started a download for the song, and then it worked again.

Ironically enough, I had another bug on the Mac yesterday where some songs would not play unless I downloaded them. I just couldn't stream them, but local playback worked fine.

Today I am having the issue of an error when playing tracks that are not cached or stored offline (-11800), can't find much on Google about that, it seems to be behaving again at the moment. I think the servers are still struggling a little bit at the moment which of course degrades the service...

I have hope that the servers are being improved daily, and that these server-side glitches will eventually stop.

Why iTunes show only full albums in my music, but not ones that have just couple of songs that i got by adding few apple generated playlist and on iphone i see full and other albums in library tab. WTF is going on. Why some many inconsistencies in behavior.

And how the **** i can add rest of the songs in the album without taping on ... for each song.

So i have a live version of a song (correctly labelled) but iTunes automatically matched it as the studio version for my phone. Is there really no work around this? Like if i renamed the file as something drastically different and then uploaded again?

Make sure you have backup...... 1) delete the track in iTunes. 2) add it to iTunes library and before you Add to iCloud Music, change the title of the track. 3) right-click or option-click the track and Add to iCloud Music Library. 4) after its uploaded you can change the title again.

If we were experts Apple would want us to work for them....
Well, I'm expert enough to know that "Jody's Got Your Girl and Gone" by Johnnie Taylor is not a 60's R&B song, something not known to the great Apple expert who added it to the "Waking up to soul 60's" playlist. ;)

Yes, sorry, I'm a nitpicky know-it-all. :D

Here are some videos I made. So many bugs.

There are loads more bugs... Just got bored videoing them!

I'm getting frequent drop-outs when airplaying via iTunes (Mac) So much so that it isn't a service I will be considering, if it isn't sorted. Spotify is flawless and I've never had a similar situation once in all my years with them, so the problem isn't at my end.

well not sure about the sliced bread part, but overall I'm happy with how Apple Music is working for me. Sound quality, streaming reliability, playlist content, radio content--all seems to be working as expected. New product so there is certainly lots of room for improvement, but from a technical standpoint, all is well here on Macbook, iPhone and iPad. Spotify user for several years but am going to give Apple Music a go and canceled my Premium Spotify subscription.

since a couple days ago my playlists where gone again, and i need a good working music system when i go on holidays, i decided to stop giving apple music a chance.

Yeah this is god damn stupid and probably going to make me go back to Spotify

I have a playlist I can't seem to delete from an artist. Literally does not delete the tracks, they just stay there

Started with a fresh library, going through adding ratings back to songs. Seems like you can only rate so many songs until iTunes disconnects from iCML and won't reconnect for a few hours. Not the first time it's happened  What a piece of ****.

Has anyone found hitting the back button in fast succession (top left) reversing your route so to speak, causes a crash? Every time for me! Usually I start from a search...

I've noticed that consistently if I'm playing a curated playlist and a song plays I like if I hit the 3 dots to see who it is and potentially add the whole album to my library or maybe listen to some more music by them I constantly get

unknown album, unknown artist displayed even though the track is showing on the player. If you hit the bar to display full screen art there's no option to show the album details
