90 % of us have cases on our phones. Even the official Apple ones have issues with the volume controls and having to press harder etc. so tactile really will only be for the naked users out there.. the rest of us will suffer…

So if they are tactile I recon we will all end up adjusting our muscle memory to swipe down from the top to adjust volume. Or watch as we ask Siri to turn up the volume and the lights turn off.
A step backward in design; not forward. Think: thinner, worse in most-every-way keyboard design.

Less than 4 years, as the iPhone 12 (late 2020) brought quite a few changes.
I have a 12 pro my son a 15 pro. There is zero difference for the most part. Even in pictures we can’t tell the difference.

For the first 8 years I upgraded every year. Now, I’m happy to go 3 or 4 years with no stress.

This must annoy the hell out of Apple.

At least Apple doesn't charge its users, after a year, for the new features that have been added..."just because".
Samsung truuuuuuuuuly being the heroes of the common folk, here.
Nobody's forced to purchase a new device each year; the updates aren't meant for people buying a new phone each year.
Oh they are.. they certainly used to be. It was a trend 15 years ago to get a new phone as soon as your contract expired. That craze and apples cash cow is very much over.

I use my phone in wet areas (lots of swimming, under rain, wet hands etc) A LOT, sometimes even take underwater shots. I always depend on the volume buttons being physical to take a shot underwater. If they make those buttons not work with wet hands/underwater, it's literally a dealbreaker for me and I'd not upgrade.

Actually, they'll just be replacing the buttons with crap capacitive buttons, reminiscent of the insanely horrible home button on the iPhone 7.

I'm so glad I upgraded to the 15. Don't plan on updating for five years or so. Hopefully, by then, they'll get rid of the capacitive crap and return to actual buttons.
you found it horrible? I very much enjoyed the iphone 7 button

Apple has not been innovating for quite long. Dynamic Island is not innovative but a sales gimmick
