well, with the redesign of their app, Commerzbank would be silly not to lay the groundwork for Wallet and Apple Pay integration. But it's a step in the right direction :)

Yup, already looked for myself in the list. Not so happy with Mastercard about this.

Hey guys, I got a new card from my bank, it is contactless. Do I need to activate contactless in order to use Apple Pay, once my bank launches it? I suppose no. Am I right?

You are right. Contactless functionality of the card has nothing to do with Applepay although never cards all have it.

They have it, but it is inactive until you pay once with your card. Should I deactivate it anyway at an ATM? Thanks! I use boon. and by the time Apple Pay arrives I will add my card.

Depends on your habits but my paying preference is:
1. Apple Pay
2. EC contactless
3. EC with card to insert and PIN
4. VISA card (no matter if contactless or with physical card)
5. cash

Hmm, normally, if they accept contactless CCs then they accept Apple Pay too. Last time in my citizens center I wanted to pay with Apple Pay, so I tried it. FAIL! Girocard contactless!:( They have an old EC-Sticker too. In 2020 this will be possible. Oh yeah!:(

Revolut has activated the Maestro cards (again). Finally! Roll-out must have been connected to the Netherlands. Now we can all enjoy that as a good backup for those shops, that are seemingly "Girocard only".

Girocard ≠ Maestro
That's why he said "seemingly". If the store is actually Girocard-only, then Maestro won't work. But, just try it, and you will see that at many places that say they only take Girocard, the Maestro actually works. Just my personal experience. So, these stores are not actually, but only seemingly, Girocard-only. And here the Revolut Maestro (or bunq Maestro) can help :)

They're already in full panic mode because you're trying to pay with your phone ;)

(Actually had my local Apple certified shop here flat out refusing to let me pay with my Maestro via Apple Pay. So then I went ahead and used the exact same card, no Girocard, contactlessly and the guy was fine with it. Mh, confused me in all kinds of ways.)
