ordered at BB.com yesterday for in store pickup. estimated pickup date is 12/03....any chance it will be available before then?

Genuinely sorry to hear that your Pencil has not shipped - didn't you order just after 11am i.e. about 20-30mins before me? There is still time for it to go to PFD and then to Dispatched this evening, otherwise I would be very surprised if it doesn't ship tomorrow.
Same :\ Mine shipped a few minutes ago. I didn't have an option to expedite it and the order status said it was backordered yesterday. Is there anyway to get it sooner?

You are right on my order times... Yes, I ordered just after 11AM and I think when we compared times mine went in 30 minutes ahead.
With a bit of luck it'll come through later this evening. Whether it'll be in time for a delivery tomorrow though is another thing!

Mine changed last night from Processing, to preparing to ship. ordered roughly just past midnight prelaunch, here in New York. (not the city btw otherwise id be scowering the apple stores for the pencil then sitting on my hands waiting for mine to ship)...
Hopefully tomarrow if not friday as idk if shipping is done on thanksgiving. i rather doubt it! Worse case durring the weekend or monday at the very latest

Ordered in first 15 minutes on 11/11, shipping window 11/19 -11/27 w next day air. Went from processing to preparing for shipment this time yesterday. Still not shipped. Has anyone with 11/19-11/27 shipping window flipped from preparing to actually shipped?
So, now it looks like I'm going from a dearth of Apple Pencils to a surplus. The one I ordered yesterday afternoon from Best Buy will be here tomorrow... AND I just got a tracking number from Apple for the one I ordered on launch day, which will also be here tomorrow. One from UPS and one from FedEx. Part of me hopes they arrive at my door at the same time and that it's slightly awkward.
My first pencil-- ordered within 15 minutes of start of orders has gone to shipped status! My keyboard and the second pencil I ordered because I forgot to specify next day delivery on the first have not. The keyboard was ordered right after the first pencil and within the first 15 minutes of availability. The second pencil was ordered about an hour later.
But the main reason I'm posting is that I had a nice discussion with a supervisor about the change in delivery projection for my second pencil which was originally set to deliver 19 -17 Nov but got changed to 23 Nov - 1 Dec. She explained that this was due to the fact that the second pencil was having to come from overseas whereas the first one was already in a US warehouse. She couldn't say with any sense of accuracy exactly when the second pencil would ship because of the vagaries of delivery from overseas. Small consolation for those who had their dates slip, I know. :-( But at least you know what the story is.

When they ship, it is a lot of them all at once you know. Congrats to those who are getting them.
Yah usually they ship in groups. I expect the rest of the 11/19-11/27 group to start shipping right now.
My 15 mn into preorder launch pencil just got moved to shipped for tomorrow! (Fedex) So Apple came through and BB didn't, BB promised today and had to pay 20 rush fee, getting that Friday, and 2 more next Friday, keyboard nov 30 4m staples
My Apple Pencil from Best Buy was shipped yesterday and should be here tomorrow. Too bad I don't need the damn thing anymore and Best Buy wouldn't let me cancel the order. Now I have to wait for it to show up before going home for the holiday. Stupid Best Buy.
I'm in second wave of orders (19th to 26th with next day air). Order placed at 0:30 PST on the 11th. Both pencil and keyboard have shipped. Pencil will be here tomorrow as per the original next day air ship option. Keyboard is coming from China though so it shipped international direct priority and will be here Monday before 10:30 (thanks to the Thanksgiving holiday in the US I expect). Looks like they expected to ship these things locally but had to resort to shipping direct from China instead. Apple did refund my next day ship charge though, I called to ask about it but they had already refunded it proactively. Disappointing that the date slipped outside the range but good on them for taking care of shipping.
