You want him on that assembly line cranking out product like a good CEO, eh? ;)

It is lame having to wait for these fairly essential peripherals; I've got until mid-to-late December before I'm going to see mine delivered. I actually assume I'll get them in a store before they actually ship.

If I was working at Apple this would not happen

Woke up this morning to find out that my pencil has shipped ^_^

Woke up this morning to find out that my pencil has shipped ^_^
It is 9am Wed Morning (18th Nov) here in Sydney at time of posting.
The shipping notification states that I can expect it to arrive at work tomorrow.

Interestingly, the keyboard that was ordered at the same time has NOT shipped yet.

Yeah. Same here. Keyboard still shows "Processing order"

Mine shipped on the 16th, with an estimated delivery date of the 23rd?!!!
Tried to track it but no luck on the SYNCREON website!

Update:
The keyboard is now also marked as shipped also for delivery tomorrow.

Just changed to preparing for shipment. Ordered approx 30 minutes after go live. Delivery dates 19th - 26th November.

Mines still processing,(pencil, my 128gig wifi black pro arrived sooner then expected) and i ordered it the moment it was available. I think apple really screwed up big time here and its kinda pissing me off cause the entire reason i bought the dam thing was to teach myself concept art, and without the pencil, its a great big beautiful Ipad, and i love it, BUT I DID BUY IT TO DRAW ON AND I CANT BECAUSE THEY STILL HAVEN'T SHIPPED OUT THE PENCIL!

Its really frustrating and apple has yet to give us a solid awnser as to why theres a delay. Id be totally understanding and forgiving if they came out and said "ya know what we ran into a slight issue with the pencil, be it a hardware or supply issues, etc and we applogise and this delay is unfortunate but we much rather ship out a product we're confortable you will be happy with at such and such a time" then id be like, ok apple, Stuff happend, i get it, i understand.

Instead they remain silent, and give a very vague response and here i am waiting to do the one thing i bought the ipad to do, draw!

Like honestly, while i abosolutley love the ipad pro, i could right now return it to the apple store, and pick me up a surface 4 with a complete opperating system and the pen is included. I chose not to do that cause the pencil reviews are apparently better then the wacom cintiqs.

Heres what im thinking. i'll give them till the end of the month as is listed on my estimate delivery date. if i dont get it by then, or if i do and the pencil isnt the greatest digital drawing tool ive ever used, then guess what the dam thing is going back for an ipad air 2 128 gig, and i save 400 dollars in the process because as much as i love the unit, if its not one hell of a drawing device as promessed, then theres no need for it, end of story!

This is exactly my problem too.....
You buy the main device, spend a whack of money but can not use it for the main reason you bought it for.
Instead you wait and wait and wait.... So much so there's danger if the accessory doesn't turn up you may go beyond your 14 day return policy, then what.... your stuck!!!

To rub our noses into it Apple then become arrogant by not even apologising or issuing an explanation. I find the whole thing condescending.

I'm pretty sure you have until mid-January to return the item.

In that case the person I spoke with at Apple must have it wrong. 14 days is what I was told.
When I said I may have to return the iPad simply because your logistics can not get it right. I was told this would be my only option. Arrogance and no understanding is what I came away with.

Yea, I was told by one person that it was 14 days, but it's mid-Jan, because it's a holiday remorse period. Just hang on for the pencil! I can't wait to get mine... 19–26 November estimated delivery. The thing that is annoying me the most is that stores are getting limited stock every now and again, why not prioritise the people who have an order outstanding? Argh!

I think it is normally 14 days, but Apple has an extended return period over Christmas/New Year (presumably so presents can be returned if not needed). Anyway, if you bought from the online Apple Store, click on Return Items to see your return date, otherwise if you bought in a physical store your return date will be on the receipt. I'm pretty sure that in both cases it will be "Eligible for return until: January 20, 2016".

I wonder if this holiday period is US only. Afterall we don't have Thanksgiving and therefore we are nowhere near any "holiday" period for the UK yet.

In the USA, the holiday return date is usually around January 5. I haven't seen anything official from Apple yet this year.
