Hello neighbor when do you think they will open?

when did you get the phone?Same thing in Canada where stores are closed because of a lockdown. I was denied a return at an Apple Store today because they don't do any transactions at the moment. Apple.ca says to use the recent orders page to make a return, but I can't find any buttons/links to do so.
Edit: it was an online order picked up in-store.
They’re not allowed to process returns. Same thing happened to me in Canada. So the stores in GA are only open for Express Pickup - no walk in traffic, which means you need to order online and pickup in the store. I did a MBA M1 that way and picked it up in store. A few days later decided to return it and order a MBP M1. Apple Online says you can either take it to a store (immediate refund) or mail in in (refund 5 days after receipt).
So I took it to the store I got it from and they would not take it back. Said they were not equipped to handle returns at the store even though it was picked up in the store. They said all returns had to go back mail in - no in store returns as they were not equipped to process returns. There were 7 Apple employees sitting on the tables joking around inside the store but they didn't have anyone who could process a return - go figure
So I FEDEX'ed it back and they refunded it 3 days after receipt (took a full week to ship and refund).
They would not give me the option of waiting until the stores were fully opened to return it.
Ah yea, if you do a split payment, you don't have that option on the web order. But you can contact Apple to initiate the return and they will send you a return label. I once did that for one of the apple product and only way was to call or return directly to the store (which I saw that you mentioned that the store won't allow it). Never again will I do a split payment on devices.I think the reason why I’m not seeing a return option is because part of my order was paid using a gift card. I saw this info. in the Apple Store app. I picked a leather case as well.
For online orders, you can start the return process by the 8th and gives you additional 14 days for Apple to receive it. I believe this additional extension is for online only. You may have a hard time returning it to the store after the 8th (if the store is actually operating). My receipt says I have until Jan 8 to return online or in store. Does that mean Apple online needs to receive by the 8th or start return process by the 8th?
I guess it depends on the store policy. Apple Store near me in WI are only open for Express Pick up as well. However, they do accept returns. I've done them before and I had no issues. However the returns I made were iPhones. Might be different for bigger devices. What they do will not do is an exchange or another item. You will get $50 on the gift card, which apple will e-mail you separately after the return is complete. And the remaining tender will go back to your original card.Hey, so I called Apple and requested a return label, no issues with that. However, it shows that the full amount will be returned to the gift card. The gift card was only $50 worth and the rest of the amount was paid with my credit card.
I called again and they told me that on their end, the refund will be issued to the original methods of payment — $50 to the gift card and the rest to the credit card.
Do you happen to know why there's a discrepancy between the refund email and what Apple told me? I surely don't want the full amount back to a gift card.
I’m in Canada also and same thing happened to me today. Apple store refused to accept my return (online order picked up in store) because of the lockdown. The problem is my return window closes on January 8th and the lockdown is until later on in January, if not longer. What did you end up doing if you don’t mind me asking? Is Apple willing to extend the return window? Thanks.Same thing in Canada where stores are closed because of a lockdown. You have till the 8th to initiate the return. You'll likely need to order another one. After they receive it in the mail it can take 5-8 business days (not counting weekends) for apple to process the return.I am in the same boat. I want to exchange for another one that doesn’t get hot af when I charge it. I am in CA as well and have till 5th I think

Yes they will for an additional charge. You might be better off just having someone drop it off for you.Does FedEx come to the house to pick it up because I am sick with the flu.
Yes but you'll likely be charged for them to pick it up. If you know someone whom you trust, you can have them drop it off and have them get a receipt.Does FedEx come to the house to pick it up because I am sick with the flu.

I think if you purchased the silicon case along with the iPhone on a single order, you may have to return both in one tracking but I bevelive there is away, but you may have to ask apple.I also bought a silicon case with my iPhone pro max order is it better to ship separate for keeping track. Ugh I really would rather return to a store. I may end up keeping it I’m not real impressed with the 12 pro max.
