Here's another trick that I use: from within a note in Apple notes, go to the Share options to create a link.
You can copy this and paste it inside the url field of a reminder.
Actually, one step easier (on macOS, at least). You can Share directly to Reminder (without creating/copying/pasting a link). The Reminder will have the Apple Note link.

Does it only work for reminders with a time and date attached?
until now, I could not figure a pattern out. All kinds of reminders work, and similar/identical ones don't. I suspect those that were created before the upgrade don't work or at least make trouble sometimes. Deleting an old one and recreating it with identical features made the new one work.
But also some few old ones do work....confusing.

P.S. for me, dragging a reminder into calendar won't help anyway, as they turn into appointments, and I don't want appointments in my calendar that are reminders.

So my original 'feature request' still stands, I would like reminders to be displayed as such in the Apple calendar. Others can do that.

I think it's easier to just drag it from notes into reminders. It will also link to the note and add the notes symbol. But you avoid doing the whole sharing thing, sharing to yourself and basically having this additional folder with shared notes in the Notes app.

100% agree, it would be a very simple and useful feature. And the most important is that it would be automatic. No dragging of anything into something else, as easy as it is. No waste of time.

At best, one could look at is as a kind of time blocking.
But, you do make a good point here.

It is funny how Apple has this working.

On macOS Notes:
* If you right click from the list of notes and Share to Reminders you need to send yourself a link
* Same result if you use the Share icon
* Same result if you highlight the title of the note or any text in the note and use the Share icon

* But... if you highlight the title or any text in the note and right click and choose Share from the menu you can directly create a Reminder with the Note link embedded. This is my normal workflow for sharing a note to Reminders

I have no idea why this is so.

Please tell me how you drag from Notes to Reminders. I can create a task, but I cannot create a task that contains a link to the note.

Yes, that sounds weird. Apple is pretty chaotic though, so it doesn't surprise me.

But it was my fault: I forgot to mention that I did this on iPad. I had Notes and Reminders open next to each other, just grabbed the note from the left side menu, and dropped it into one of my reminder lists. The content of the note would appear in the reminder, with a little "Notes" icon next to it, and if you'd click the reminder, it would open the Notes app and bring you to the note.

I tried this on Mac now and it doesn't work, but I'm still running Ventura, so it may work on Sonoma. It's all very inconsistent. It's all nice gadgets but most of them you can not use seriously, and when you manage to do, you never know when they're going to stop working, when the next update messes up compatibility again. It's all virtual toys and gadgets, and I understand that the business world uses other software because it's not to be taken seriously.

MacOS is for "artists" of rich parents, so they can add to buy chai latte or I don't know what to their Notes or Calendar lol.
