iMac -> miniDisplayPort -> HDMI -> PS3
Possible without any hardware converter?

I don't get it.

Intel i5-2400S/2.5GHz = $194
Intel i5-2500S/2.7GHz = $216
Intel i5-2400/3.1GHz = $184

So the top-spec non-BTO has the cheapest CPU? Am I missing something here?

I don't see video input mentioned anywhere on the website.

BTW, the new iMac consumes a lot less energy :
21.5" : 241W -> 205W
27" : 365W -> 310W

It's pretty impressive that they managed to reduce the consumption because the GPU in the 27" has a higher TDP than in the 2010 version...

Well I am off to buy a new computer .... don't think the iMac made the cut this time for me though, might be time for a new MBP.

Who knows ???

Apple don't pay those prices with the volume they buy in and the i5 2400 is the most powerful CPU when fully utilized.

Likely, that is how it almost always has been.

Well a bit disappointed I couldn't get one in store today since they still had the old ones and old prices on display and not a clue of the new models but they said there will be a shipment tonight and this might bring in the new iMacs ... I was really hopping to spend the night setting it up :(

Anyone know why they have to take the entire store down to change one thing?

If amazon had to do that the store would never be up :)

They don't have to. It's a marketing trick, creates excitement and media attention.
