Hello. First off I've just created a screan name but have been using this site for the last few months trying to decide if the mac was the right choice for me. I must have read 1000 pages of info but have decided to make the switch. I decided upon a macbook pro rom the refurb site because its all I can afford. I was hoping to get some kind of promo code I can use there to help offset the cost. I was going to buy a macbook but decided for the refurb pro instead. I know I'm new but plan on being here for some time learning me new computer. Any help would be a huge help. Thanks
After my long wait for a coupon before my heavy multi-hundred dollar purchase with Apple, they've snubbed me by sending me a $30 coupon after clicking the "Place my order" button. Potty for you Apple.

I generally call the source if I believe a purchase will be big enough to garner a special "Deal", You'd be supprised how many times the squeaky wheel theory works in the corporate world. Give it a shot.
I Know I will be calling Apple later this year when I buy my octo, with Penryn & S.S. as my purchases will total well over 13,000. (I plan on getting 2 30" monitors & FCP Studio 2, as well as a few other things).

same here. i ordered a macbook last week and selected "finance" as my payment and it was done. i still had to phone apple for verification/credit background if im eligible for the finance option. or you can just ignore your purchase order and it will be cancelled automatically in 30 days. it was stated in their email:
"IMPORTANT NOTE: If your signed financing agreement is not received within 30 days of the date of this order acknowledgement, your order will be cancelled. Alternatively, if you decide to simply place a new order you do not need to contact us to cancel your existing order, as it will be cancelled automatically in 30 days."
after 7 days, i received a coupon code (£23 off) from them.

I just got off the phone with an Apple Store Rep & Wouldn't you know it if you indeed take the time to call them & ASK. They will qualify the purchase & Happily send one to your e-mail!!!!

I'm a highschool senior just about to graduate. Ive been a macuser all my life but my sawtooth g4 just isn't going to work for college so its time to upgrade. I'm looking at getting a refurb macbook and if I can find a promo code that would really help out. If anone has one let me know. Just discovered this site today and have been educating myself! We are ready to purchase--are making the switch from pc to mac! Very exciting! Is there anywhere to find coupons--or do people just share out of kindness at times when they have one? I haven't figured that out yet. We have 4 children, but don't seem to qualify for a student discount (we will probably buy our graduating senior a laptop this summer--but don't have an acceptance letter yet to use), and I will be homeschooling next year but am not right now, so I don't think that qualifies us either!
