Anyone guys? It would really help.

Oh and it sucks that if you customize you can pick up in store. And that the version i want has the extra graphics card which i dont need. =(

I plan to upgrade to 7200rmp ($45), and dont play games so dont ned the card.

Yet another reminder to everyone (yeah, this is for the noobs) that apple has a refurb store and it can save you far more ($200-$400) than the old coupon codes (which used to run typically $30 off $300). Hit the lower left corner on the apple home page and look for - surprise - "special deals".

Still not sure if you want a refurb? Search on the forum and you'll find a lot of refurb fans.

You don't need a code or secret handshake to buy refrubs (or clearance for that matter). Go to the apple store page, scroll to the bottom and look to your left for a link to "special deals".

After a 2+ year drought on the coupon code front, Apple puts a couple of them out there. Aimed at mobileme members, these were emailed out earlier today. It is unknown if these are one-time-use, but it seems unlikely, give the number of codes they would have to reserve for members. You can find this stuff cheaper elsewhere (refurb store, ebay, etc), but not by much. If you just gotta do apple, here ya go:

I'm new here. I'm looking to get my girlfriend a nano for her birthday. I know the cheapest way to go would be a refurb but I'd really like to get it engraved for her. What is the cheapest way I could get one engraved? Any codes?

Authorized resellers often have a $5-$10 savings off of Apple's ipod prices in addition to the free engraving. Snoop around the likes of MacMall and MacConnection, etc to see who has the best deal. Alternatively, there are places on the web that do custom engraving including graphics. You could pick up the refurb nano and spend part of the savings on an extra-special engraving.
