Butthead dad should have reminded you to get a free printer when you got your iMac (it's stackable with the free ipod deal).
Get your applecare at Amazon to save $20-$50; you can get it even cheaper on ebay.

I've not seen any promo codes on the UK emails for a long time. I do check on every email they send me, but nothing :-(

Once it starts, noobs see other people doing it and join in.
It looks like Apple US's promo codes are down to very specific sales channels and so the average joe's best savings bet is to go refurb and load up the machine with aftermarket RAM and applecare.
I think the last UK code went out in email about a month ago, but at least they still exist.
I'm purchasing a IMAC very soon...

I always use a website call http://www.quidco.com which offer cashback on a wide selection of retailers.
Does it work - YES - it;s a great way of saving money.
There is currently a 6% cashback (until 19th Oct) on items from the apple Store. Go see for yourself. You can't sniff at £75 cashback on a new Macbook 2.4GHZ.
