Do people even respond to these requests???? I'm subscribed to this thread but I don't even know why. As far as I know, Apple doesn't come out with promo codes that easily.

No way! I've always received fantastic customer service from my Apple store location in Orlando's Mall at Millinea.

I, too, have gotten nothing but fantastic customer service from the same store. I also go to the one at Florida Mall in Orlando and have left happy, every time. They have gone out of their way to help in any way possible.

Exactly what I was thinking....

Apple used to send them out regularly, but it's been 2 or 3 years so that element of the thread is going by the wayside. However, it still has the advantage of alerting potential MR members (via google searches for things like "apple coupon code") to the existence of MR and therefore acts as something of a recruiting tool.

3% DISCOUNT for ALL UK USERS!

Hi Guys,

As I see many of you are desperately demanding coupons, here is a great solution for all of you in the UK.

The solution is 'QuidCo', they have partnerships with many companies, INCLUDING APPLE! With ANY ORDER you can claim 3% cashback, and that includes iPods, Macs, Accessories etc.

This is valid for ANY order EXCEPT FOR STUDENT/EDUCATIONAL ORDERS!

You can claim 3% on any order direct from Apple! : http://www.quidco.com/apple-store/

You can claim back 5% on ALREADY DISCOUNTED orders from MacWarehouse.co.uk! : http://www.quidco.com/macwarehouse/

There are hundreds of different retailers on their website! So there may be some even cheaper ones!

Enjoy guys!

Do you have any suggestions for other sources?
thanks!
Elisa

1. Subscribe to Apple email updates. Maybe, some day, something may pop up.
2. Check the Apple Promo page regularly for any new promotions. http://www.apple.com/promo/
3. Refurb is also your one biggest shortcut to savings.
4. And you could always break some laws that no-one will care about if you know any friends that are students or have CEPP discounts on the online Apple Store, to buy you any Apple products for approx 6% off depending on what product it is. (keep in mind I don't endorse this option)

CEPP & student discount

I am the student and I can do comparison shopping thru Delta where my boyfriend works. And I get the emails. I also bought my now defunct MB as refurb'...worked like a charm until SL touched it. The student $$ is usually a better deal...Still, I would love to catch a deal. Especially now that I am having to use this dinosaur...
Thanks!

The best way I've seen to get a discount is a two phased approach and it is the way I got my MBP.
1) Use the the Student discount
2) Sign up for the ADC Student program. This will cost $99 but will get you a once in a lifetime ~10-15% discount on top of the student discount. You spend $99 to save an $100 - $150 depending on model.
The company I worked also used to reimburse us %20 on new computer hardware. All in all I saved 40% on my MBP.

If you know an Apple employee who is willing to give up their yearly discount that can save you 20%. If they have already used their discount they can still order one for you on their friends and family discount and save you 10-15%.

Obviously YMMV.

$400+ savings on a MBP

Coupon codes are for sissies!

I'm not a student and I just saved $350 on a MBP. How? The beloved refurb store. Seriously, apple does the best job I have ever seen on refurbs and they come with the same warranty as new. Don't believe me? Search these boards - there are a TON of refurb fans.

Oh, and don't forget to grab the "free printer after rebate" deal. Don't need the printer? Sell it on ebay and make $60-ish back.

There, you just saved $410 or 20% with almost no effort :p.

i got a promotional code for $50 from apple, I want to buy the apple remote and a new USB iphone charger.

So how does this work? I type in the code and pressed apply but it says in a balloon. Your order total is below the required amount for this promotion?

Shouldn't it work and then apple just deducts the $4 remaining from my credit card? BUt instead they took the FULL amount from my card and i rang them to cancel it and get my money back.

So what is the go? I asked him to explain it but cause he couldn't speak english well at all i go no where!

If you have a promo code of 50$ you probably need to spend at least 200$ or something like that before you can apply it...

call apple!

I called apple, placed my order over the phone. Asked for a promo code, they did not have one. The sales representative gave me a $50 discount when I gave my CC#, anyways. :)
