10% Coupon

It's been a long time, but my wife and I went to by the first Mac Mini on day 1, and had to wait in some long lines. The manager came out and gave everyone a 10% off coupon for your next purchase. I ended up using it on a PowerBook G4 15" 1.67ghz and saved $200. It's not exactly a coupon code, but it's something out there that someone may stumble upon. I don't know if they still give those out or not...but as someone else said, go refurb and you will save the most. (check amazon as well and you might save a good chunk).

We've had great luck with all our refurbs thus far.

Apple.com gives discount for students and sometimes offers a free iPod.

Missed the recent MacBook Pro student promotion (100$ off + ipod touch + free printer). Does anyone know if the same discount will be given out this year again?

Not until next summer. That promo has been in effect like clockwork for a few years. I would expect it to continue.
There is often a sale on Black Friday but nothing close to the Back to School promo.

FWIW, a free printer can be found with almost any computer purchase. Last time I bought a computer I turned down the free printer since we didn't really need it. :apple:

black friday sales are much better for software (including Mac games) and accessories (including iPods) compared to macbooks. Since Apple doesn't have sales for non-education people, any black friday sales are better than nothing.

It's a jump to conclusions mat! It has conclusions on it, that you can JUMP to.

No wait, it's the weather app that comes with the phone for free.

Apple does not have promo codes for its products and anyone who claims they have them or used some recently are lying to you. There are discounts for employees, but those are not done through promo codes that are shared and passed to others. If you buying for a student, there are education discounts. That's about it in terms of discounts.

This is not true. Apple doesn't do very many promo codes in a year, but they do have them. When I bought my son's MacBook Pro this summer, I used an online promo code that discounted the final price by 10% and allowed for free shipping. If you look around online you will find them. Maybe you have been unsuccessful in finding legitimate promo codes, but no need to call people liars. A quick Google search should provide more than enough information as to where to find them.

I'm also looking to convert from PC to Mac and have been searching for a promo code to buy a MacBook Pro. If anyone has a code that they could forward, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks! blackhawks2010@me.com
