same and same and same :)
Congrats! No movement here. My delivery window closes May 6. I wonder if ordering through the education store makes a difference, though both my Mac Studios arrived early.

Does not matter. I was a Mar 8 order through Ed store and also am now preparing to ship.

My dates are Apr 22 - May 5 and no change. (Processing) Since tomorrow is the last day I thought for sure something would happen today!!
Last time around, my window was updated on the last day, I think. So I’d expect you to hear something (preparing for shipping or a delivery window delay) by the end of the day tomorrow. Good luck!

My delivery just got pushed back again, now June 7 - 14. Ordered March 8, originally supposed to arrive April 14 - 21. I realize Apple can’t control lockdowns in China or other factors, but at this point they should just admit they have no idea when my ASD will arrive.

I could have had a tilt adjustable display from Costco a few weeks ago, but decided to wait because of Apple’s second delivery estimate of April 29 - May 6. Now they’re out of stock at Costco and everywhere else I’ve looked.

As much as I was looking forward to this monitor and built-in speakers (not so much the webcam), I think I’m going to look at alternatives and save at least $1,000.

Don''t give up hope, it may be worth the rate. The 4K 27" and 32"" alternatives aren't that good considering the scaling issues. I would never consider a 4K 27" and 32" given the issues with text being blurry or UI elements being halariously huge due to not being 5K.

If you can't, you may as get a 27" 2K non-retina display and not deal with the scaling issues, although text may not be as sharp as a 5K one.

Thanks. Fortunately, I have a good basis for comparison. I’ve been using a borrowed 4K 27” monitor with my Mac Studio, which replaced a 27” iMac, but I may have to return it soon. It’s not as sharp as the iMac, and it lacks speakers, but it’s honestly better than I expected.

If I had any confidence in Apple’s latest delivery estimate, I’d be tempted to wait. But my believing the window that just expired, I missed out on an ASD from Costco, albeit without the height adjustment.

I feel like Charlie Brown, who never learns that Lucy will pull the football away every time.

Apple’s delivery estimating system is almost laughable when two people who ordered the same monitor are given windows only a day apart. It implies a level of precision that simply doesn’t exist.

If you have any way of pouncing on a display from a retailer, while waiting on your order from Apple, do it. My window got pushed back and back from Apple and I searched high and low with every retailer here and finally found one, the last one in stock before the next orders come through and I took it immediately and cancelled the Apple order. I too had ordered the height and tilt but the one I got yesterday is standard tilt and it's absolutely fine. I was only concerned about an inch (to match the height of my iMac) but this one is fine and if I ever need extra height I can get a 1-inch riser for low money. I feel happy enough now saving €460 which goes a long way to pay for the Apple AirPods Max I bought! ?

Bottom line, scour all retailers and if you see one in stock, call them up in person, make them confirm they have it and tell them to put it by for you. A couple of retailers here indicated they had it when I looked online but when I called them they said, oops, they're all gone and it will take weeks to order. And unlike Apple, they will take your money straight away.

Thanks. Unfortunately, there are very few brick-and-mortar retailers who carry the ASD around here, and one is an Apple store. I’m going to keep looking, but not optimistic.

Same situation here. Only Apple Store anywhere in the vicinity is 20 miles and not an ideal place to visit for me. Everyone else in my area does not stock a Studio Display.

I didn’t know that any retailer besides Apple, Best Buy, B&H, Andromeda, and Costco even carried it.
Microcenter Houston has the nano texture tilt adjustable in stock:

Heh, I kinda feel like a tennis ball in a long volley, right now.
I ordered a reg-glass/VESA the day after the announcement, got an estimate of mid-May. Then I saw a lot of posts that folks who ordered Announcement Day that they'd been pushed to August, and right now I have an Asus 4K arriving Monday, and the ASD arriving... who knows?
I'll adjust my plans once I hook up the Asus, and judge its image quality against my 2014 iMac, and factor in that Apple wouldn't apply my Military Discount to my ASD order, even though they haven't charged my CC yet.

I ordered my pair of ASDs VESA Mount from Apple back on March 31st with delivery scheduled for May 29 - June 11. On April 9th ordered a pair of ASDs VESA Mount from Best Buy with in store pickup and got them on April 19th. After setting them up cancelled my order with Apple. If you are in the USA, you should try going to your local Best Buy to see if you can order them with in store pickup.

Over here, there are no Apple stores even though Apple have a huge operation in Cork. But it means that every electrical retailer chain basically is an authorised Apple Reseller. So there are about 7 individual retailers within 5 miles of me who are official Apple resellers. Most though are out of ASDs. One chain I talked to has been given one each for its stores from Apple for display purposes only. They expect next delivery of ASDs in mid-May. But I can imagine that has been pushed back.

I got mine from Select who are also in the UK. I can recommend them, their customer service is excellent.
