FAIL

P.S. I doub't anyone whose says "My englis not that good, enjoy people" would chose Gonewiththewind, a uniquely American film, asa a screen name.

If you've ever ventured out of this country, you would realize that most non-English speaking countries have most of the American produced movies in their theaters with English Sub-Titles. And they didn't say they did not speak English, only that it wasn't very good.

I agree this is probably not the tablet... it may be some kind of rigged iPhone... or test or development platform? What is this really?

The interesting thing is how the Notes app seems to slide across the screen with some momentum after he flicks his finger... that's very iPhone like, yet obviously, the iPhone doesn't allow you to drag apps around on the screen so this isn't just a regular old iPhone here.

I agree that the video is not of the device itself.

I too am wondering if it is not a look at the new device via the development platform. He is obviously touching a LCD panel in the demonstration which indicates that it is not the device itself.

As far as what he shows, the concept reminds me of the Newton. It is quite conceivable that the new device will be like an iPhone/touch but simply larger with a 10.4 inch display. The extra screen real estate would allow multiple apps to be open at the same time so we may see multi-tasking of some sort.

So while an obvious fake, it may be providing insight as to what we may see.

If it's real... IF IT IS REAL....

We'll have many many many angry apple fanboiz running around like headless chickens....

What are the fanboiz expecting?

While I'm convinced this is probably just some kind of software development platform now, it fits closely with my vision of how the tablet software would look and work.

It makes more sense to use the iPhone OS than OSX for a number of reasons (hardware requirements, power consumption, touch UI, etc.) They would be foolish to ignore the 50,000 apps developed for the iPhone/iPodTouch. They would be foolish not to implement multi-touch.

The only thing that doesn't seem right to me is that I would expect a system keyboard (not one linked to each app as is the case in the Notes app shown in the video). This is the only thing that makes me think this is not the real Tablet environment... but perhaps they aren't that far along in development yet or legacy iPhone apps have to use the app attached keyboard until they are recoded to use the Tablet's system wide keyboard.

At any rate, real or not, I think this is a fairly good representation of what to expect.

That screen tap ripple might be an on-screen effect. Even if it is finger to LCD, having a glass screen might make the entire tablet weight more (not good). The unibody Macs with weak hinges is a good example.

ROFL am I the only one who thinks this is just the Dashboard feature of a Mac in edit mode? Seriously now. Pull up the dashboard and press the edit button at the bottom and you'll see the icons, gradients, textures, etc. are all the same. The screen ripple effect is also part of Dashboard when you add one of the icons to the dashboard by clicking on it.

Come on now, people.

What about the dock? There was a short video clip too, not just a screenshot.

You mean the dock that has a feature to "auto hide" when you're not hovering it? Apple logo > Dock > Turn Hiding On. Not sure what's in the video, but judging by the pictures I'm guessing your question is wondering why the dock isn't showing up in the pictures?

I didn't watch the video cause I'm almost convinced by the screenshots it's just Dashboard. Plus, if there was any sort of validity to this video, I'm sure someone would have posted about it at the very least and no one has.

More fuel for the fire... The browser window shown in the picture/video has the look and feel of an iPhone app, yet it's too large to be an iPhone app. Where did that come from?

Admittedly it looks similar, but there are no (x)'s on each app to close them like you see when editing the dashboard.

If that's real - then MMS and 3.1 are being released today.

If that's real - AT&T is going to give everyone unlimited MMS and SMS for free for a year for having to wait

If that's real - then tethering will be enabled with no cap and also for free

In other words....

You can on everything that isnt AT&T. America is just Sad.

Yes, good point. All the apps shown except for the one on the bottom also appear to be iPhone size so they might not have been recoded for a larger display either (or they don't need to be).

Eff it, ill go out on a limb and say its real....why you ask? How quickly we forget how many people said the leaked photos of the unibody case for the macbook pro's were photoshopped, and the shadows all wrong?

If you could take real pictures like this, you would have the device. If you had the device, you would have taken an actual picture of it.

You don't have it, these aren't real, and you haven't read our rules.

This just made me laugh, 'cause remember the mac mini leak guy? Poor sod

Talking about the megaupload video:

The edge of the screen looks like a regular monitor, but if hand size is an indicator, this looks about right for size. There is a probability this hardware isn't the finished form.

In the dock there is an icon that looks like it is iMovie. So would that mean this thing has a camera and you can edit video?

If this is real, it's still too limited a peek. There is nothing showing how powerful this platform is or what it can do aside from being an iPhone/Laptop hybrid with all the same old stuff running with multi-touch. Which, perhaps, is all this device will be.

If this is a real tablet, I would suspect it isn't a polished, finished version. Apple is probably still working on all software, even if hardware is finalized. Apple never stops working on software.

Assuming this thing goes on sale in November or even January, with a probable unveil in September, Apple has plenty of time to hone function.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if this is a true prototype.

I believe the idea is good, but the pictures and video are fake. The screen has the ripple effect of any LCD. Apple wouldn't have that, they have a glass screen as the iPhone.

Also, where is the back of the device? Where is the name of it? Can we see an "About this Mac" screen? So many questions I could ask. Somehow, if OP would respond to to some of these, I might be inclined to believe, but as it stands the whole pictures and video, although greatly executed, are nothing but hoaxes.
