I can't believe nobody thought of simple UI logic...

If this is really how it looks, and really how Maps and the web browser look... How do you close the apps? If you're expected to use a "home button" then how would it know which to close? Without a title bar, how could you go to file or close or anything with this interface?

Did anyone think of that yet? I really hope this isn't the actual device because they still have a LOT of UI work to do. :D

I believe the idea is good, but the pictures and video are fake. The screen has the ripple effect of any LCD. Apple wouldn't have that, they have a glass screen as the iPhone.

Also, where is the back of the device? Where is the name of it? Can we see an "About this Mac" screen? So many questions I could ask. Somehow, if OP would respond to to some of these, I might be inclined to believe, but as it stands the whole pictures and video, although greatly executed, are nothing but hoaxes.

Glass is very heavy, even though it's acrylic on the MBP screens, it's still very heavy. The MBP has a very weak hinge due to this. The tablet probably doesn't have a hinge, but you get the point that it's heavy.

Any touchscreen with a modified iphone emulator (like in the SDK) and some programming would be able to do this.

Closing would be by pushing the app's icon again to close it. I guess.

Haha, Nice.

I'm assuming this is one of those obviously fake things because it's just an iPhone blown up with a screen photoshoped on.

But if it was real, the power button would be the side of your palm! :p

Apple is only looking at screens up to 12" https://www.macrumors.com/2009/08/0...-range-of-tablet-screens-from-4-to-12-inches/ according to MacRumors.com

I really don't think that the weight would be too big an issue with this in mind if they made it out of the material they do on the MBP's. I could even see them doing it with glass for durability as well. I know how heavy glass is, but it's not going to be as thick as a window pane.

I understand, which is why, Apple will or has to implement some type of material barrier between the LCD and the touch surface. I know touching the LCD constantly is surely not healthy nor does it help in prolonging its life.

software

Everything is just fine on this machine software environment. I have a touch screen-enabled monitor connected to a small non-standard desktop machine with an ARM Cortex. Do not see the actual device, I close connected to some people from software team. they currently working on a systemwide keyboard and should be ready in the distance, it will link all the aplications to the system keyboard. Someone asked how to close th aplication .. When an application is at the center of attention, to tap home. it is quite clear with what the application is at the center of attention, as it is in Mac OS X.

I will try get picure of software platform when in work, at home at momet, might get acess., but will tries.

If you look at the top, the little battery indicator is telling us that it is plugged in and charging (the little "fork" in the battery) while we can clearly tell that its not plugged in. I would assume it would either have a dock connector charger or a macbook air-esque plug.

Thanks iMacmatician, my thoughts exactly.

While I have significant doubts that it's real, I would not be surprised if the actual tablet looked somewhat like this.

In fact this is very close to exactly what I'm expecting. The primary interface to apps, multitasking and expose will be through the dock.

As for the movie is is either a fake or prototype as the on screen images indicate a curved screen like you would expect on an old TV. There are other issues too but still I think the poster is real close to right here.

Now this I can believe! Is it correct to assume that this is an iPhone OS derived operating system?

Honestly I don't follow what is being said above. What ever this items actual status is, it is very close to what I imagine a tablet built from iPhone OS would look like.

Another thing: notice how the Search label isn't centered in its button, and it appears to be the same distance from the left edge as it normally is. However, if I go into Interface Builder and create one of these components manually, it's centered ;)

FAIL

P.S. I doub't anyone whose says "My englis not that good, enjoy people" would chose Gonewiththewind, a uniquely American film, asa a screen name.

That's funny - I thought the very same thing immediately. It's like it's too close to be legitimately bad or something.

This is clearly nothing useful as a next gen / new tablet but it could be a remake custom tablet that I have seen third party companies make out of the older generation MacBooks. However, they used the full OS version so, it's still gotta be BS.
