I think ultimately it should just be named the iTouch just to calm the people complaining about iPod Touch-related linguistics.

Either that, or people will be even more confused when comparing devices in the future... dangit!

Maybe move the macbook to the pro line or ditch it and call the tablet a "Macbook" Since it looks more like a book.

"Apple oblivion" or "oblivion" sounds pretty badass to me.

"Macbook Air 2"

"Macbook Air Pro"

"i.t" t- stands for thin

"Mac Touch"

"islim"

"iPodafone" a combination of ipod touch + iphone, not to be confused with vodafone!

I think MacPad works the best. It keeps the two syllable trend (MacBook, iMac, Mac Pro, iPod, iPhone), and then you could have MacPad Pro, MacPad Mini, etc. Any thing with "i" in front sounds pretentious, and words like slate, glass, paper and tablet are either too vague or are awkward to say.

MacPad and MacPad Pro. Easy and fun to say, just like they should be to use.

So, I was thinking about Apple's tablet and that made me think about Star Trek The Next Generation. In several episodes they show Star Fleet officers use P.A.D.Ds to view data, files etc. P.A.D.D is an abbreviation for Personal Access Data Display. I had posted earlier that I thought iPad or MacPad would be a good name but this has me thinking that iPADD or Mac Padd is a really good name for the device. Just my two cents.
