Surprised to hear it wasn't already on Android. I guess as the catalogue of TV and movies increases Apple TV+ will become more and more like a normal streaming service. Apple should really acquire Paramount or something to pad it out.

Imagine the hell that must be being the Android dev at the Apple campus at lunch or get together time 😂

This is great news for a (presumably) really small section of users who've completely left the Apple device ecosystem but have hundreds of movies and TV series on Apple TV. I mean, I wonder if I'm the entirety of that demographic..
I'm here with you buddy. Went from everything Apple to never buying another Apple device ever and sold all I had

I'd be part of that group as well. Definitely would be interested to see if I can still watch some of the content we "bought" so many years back.

I wish they would bring out a proper icloud app, with everything accessible so I can more easily integrate my apple stuff with my android phone.

They have been offering Apple TV on 3rd party devices for years as well as Apple Music. This is about putting their subscriptions everywhere has nothing to do with the EU
You can watch Apple TV on Android, in the web browser. Bringing the app to Android allows users to access their OWN library of movies etc. This was platform lock in, not about Apple TV+!

I mean, when the service is available on any web browser it really isn’t an Apple device exclusive, might as well make a native app…
