Apple TV "still a hobby" - Jobs

Apple TV and iChat Video would have been a nice feature. Using your 50 inch TV and having Star Trek Bridge style chats from your couch to Grandma.

If Apple would release an SDK for Apple TV, I'm sure we would see this "hobby" take off!

Jobs calling it a "hobby" just sounds like an excuse. He's probably being stone walled by the studios.

Yeah it's kind of like Back To The Future part 2, where they have a large TV that is capable of video chat. Actually the connectivity around that futuristic house between devices was spot on, if not a little over the top. I think AppleTV would be perfect for Video Chats, they just need to allow a portable camera to be used.
