If you go to the apple store app, click on "For You" at the bottom and then scroll down to your devices you should see your phone and under that "Device Details." When I click on that it opens and I can see that my phone is eligible for an upgrade and it has link that says "start now".

Grayed out.

I'd like to enroll in advance in iPhone Upgrade Program. Question is, will they keep it around? When you check out I don't see an option for it. (I know, we can't buy iphone yet, but just an observation).

I sure hope they keep it and we can pre-enroll prior to preorder. That's my plan. I can also use my Apple Card but prefer to enroll in IUP.

Yeah still grayed out.

Interesting though, if you start from the View Pricing link in the app you can get to the point where you can set a reminder for the 12 and 12 mini, but not for either Pro. The 'Continue' link on the Pro page is also grayed out.

We should all get emails like the before - every single time I get a little email asking me to start my pre-approval for the iPhone. I tell myself I won't upgrade this year... but when that email comes in, my heart starts beating a little faster... I start thinking about how easy this is... how nice it wo.... then before you know it I'm signed up for the next iPhone.

Not sure if this means anything, but the press release for the iPhone 11s last year mentioned pre-approvals in the footnotes, but the press release for the 12s doesn't.

Fair warning. I had same issue a couple of years ago. Brutal experience. That took many hours to correct.

No, they clearly stated that wont be available for pre order until 11/6, so they wont post that one when they have to get through the preorder of the 6.1's

I have a paid off XS Max from the IUP. I wonder if I have to enroll as new now? Since I'm not "upgrading" since I own the XS Max outright now. Guess we'll know more in a couple of weeks. I'm going for 12 Pro Max Pacific Blue 256 hopefully in IUP (just in case I want to swap next year).
