Lol was gonna try to see if there was in-store pickup availability this morning online, turns out my watch just went to ‘prepared for shipment’. Guess I’m waiting it out, have 21st - 28th dates.

Anyone know how long it typically stays in that status for?

Since we are seeing PTS this early I’m guessing the Ultra deliveries aren’t originating from the US.
If that’s the case then the ‘Shipped’ status will appear maybe wed/thurs.
Similar to the phones.

Although for yours you might see it earlier than that

Nothing in the UK yet from what I can see so they may already be in a warehouse

My watch Series 8 showed being delivered on launch day. I checked my tracking this morning and now it says it will be delivered by Tuesday. UPS sometimes just do what they want, and it makes me so mad. It was showing overnight service and now UPS GROUND! I feel like when FedEx had the contract they were way better at logistics.

I got stuck with Bestbuy this year for my watch. I had some serious points I used and a gift card. Let me know if you are in the same scenario with Best Buy. No idea what these guys will do for shipping.

It’s most likely tomorrow. Late last night, I ordered a MagWallet and I couldn’t get any store pickups at my local for today - imagine they’re just booked for iPhones And Watches. Tomorrow (Saturday) was the earliest I could get in.

The numerical date should have been a blue circle when you selected it. It really boils down to when you get the ”ready for pickup” or ”check-in at ….” E-mail from the Apple Store.

sucks that there is no financing option here in Canada for the Ultra. As I see some people are able to do it with their apple card.

it means that all the pick up times for that store for TODAY are booked.

if you really want it today.... you'll probably have to go stand in line and wait to get in.

Both Ultras I ordered for me and my wife just charged on the Apple Card this morning, nothing in MyChoice yet but I imagine it should be soon enough (both Ocean bands, mostly b/c the other options were already out into Oct by the time I was done with my iPhone orders so opted for the Ocean bands and added the Trail & Alpine bands for delivery whenever they become available).

Just couldn't justify $100 more for the Series 8. Such an incredibly weak update that it's breaking my every other year purchase cycle. Upgrading from the Series 6 and excited to get a new band, cellular capabilities, larger screen and fast charging on the Series 7.

Will check out the Ultra once it's in stores, as I'll be within my return period. I still think it's too bulky though, especially for sleep tracking. Hoping Series 10 in two years finally gets a redesign and some significant new features.

Last year I had a launch day order, but second-guessed myself and canceled it (a few times). A few weeks later I thought about it and re-ordered. By then it was a early December delivery date and that's when it arrived.

It really depends on the band. Some of the bands are very popular and the supply gets eaten up quickly.

Got my S8 today and after wearing it for a couple of hours my initial thoughts are "why didn't I get this sooner?" Setting everything up took some time and will most likely take more as I adjust to what works and what doesn't. But the watch has already provided me with multiple convenient ways to do things in situations I didn't have my phone at hand.

I'm also very curious about the sleep tracking. I have a doctor's appointment with a sleep specialist in December and I was thinking about offering him three months' worth of sleep tracking data from the watch just so that he can evaluate if any of it seems sensible.
