For SoCal (LA / San Bernardino / OC), UPS flights out our way are between noon to 1:30pm our time (PDT)...so if there is any movement today out west, that's when I'll be checking.

If you are in Louisville, Kentucky. I would request it right now. Make sure it is your assigned UPS CC hub (not some random Walgreens or CVS) also check what are there hours for pick up. Do they open in the morning or in the evening? Lastly, make sure you get this assigned date - 9/23.

After request has been submitted. You are welcome to call UPS and just confirm and verify. 1 (800) 742-5877 - Say Agent.

I made (and paid for) my request to hold at the local CC a couple days back, but have had no notification from UPS on it. My card was charged the 6 bucks for the hold, so they have my money - just hoping I get some notification that the hold's in place and I'm able to swing by the CC Friday morning to pick up the AWU.

If you were charged, you should be fine. You will not see any confirmation until Friday morning itself, when your local UPS CC actually has your package. Up until then, you will just see "Change Requested" when you view it in the app - mine appeared in the next block below "Ship To" in the UPS My Choice Settings...Change Requested, Pickup my package at a UPS location.

For my 14PM, it was at 0652am on that Friday that the Shipment Progress said "Hold for Pickup Confirmed".

Just go with the flow now and let it happen.

Very nice! Congratulations! 100% sure it's all good to go. But yes, call and double-check you can pick it up on Friday at 08:00AM in the morning. Congratulations, again!!!

I got the S7 over the S8 but still ordered one on Amazon to have a look. I ordered late and didn’t expect to arrive in September. Well I got the notification that it will arrive on Saturday and just watched MKBHD‘s review and it looks nice. I think his wrists are even smaller than mine.

Now I’m not sure what to do

What configuration did you order? I ordered with the blue and grey trail loop as soon as it was listed on Amazon. Still haven’t gotten any updates. Hopefully getting in early helps me, but I’m not holding my breath.

With my iPhone last week, they never sent me an email to confirm my hold for pickup. The app confirmed it and I went to pick it up, even though my phone was saying Out for Delivery.

Got it. I had the wrong address in the account. Once I updated that it showed up after a few minutes. Last year I had the watches sent to my office, this year they are going to my house. Oops. Lol. Looks like I’m working from home Friday.

Where were these ordered from? I'd be extremely surprised if you actually got them before Friday, and if you did, FedEx would be facing some hefty fines for breaking contract with Apple by delivering before launch date.

I work Friday, so the watch will be shipping to my mother-in-law house. I won’t be off until 6-7pm, and I’m itching to have mine sent to the UPS Store my station delivers to, which is 5 minutes away from the station, but unlike the CC which say package delivery date 9/23, the UPS Store say estimated delivery date 9/23. What do y’all think? I’m more afraid of my watch being swiped before being delivered and not finding out until I arrive to pick my kids up and the watch.

Maybe the Ultra's packaging box is environmentally friendly and recycled box paper? S8 carries the same format as it did for S7 and S6. See the post below, please.

Helpful hint since you'll be going to the same UPS CC I use! (I was there last week for my iPhone.) According to the UPS person on duty (when I showed up last Friday at 8:30 a.m.), the truck with items being held doesn't normally show up until 9-9:30 am. Good luck!
