Black SS link is my daily wear when I am in my suit or not. It also goes rather nicely with my favourite set of cufflinks!

That looks like a nice combo. I have to admit, though, I don't wear dark shirts like that with my suits and sportcoats. I usually wear a white or pastel solid dress shirt, or a thin striped dress shirt with a white background. These contrast to my darker coats and pants, and look nice.
All that said, I have the space gray sport model, and have replaced the sport band with a black Hoco metal link. It looks nice, but I'm not happy with it for everyday wear. To me, it looks too Darth Vader, too military. For 15 years prior to the Apple watch, I was wearing a stainless steel Omega Seamaster Professional with a steel link bracelet. It went with EVERYTHING, suits, sportcoats, blazers, polo shirts & shorts, even my tuxedo (think James Bond!
It seemed like a good idea at the time, but this all-black Apple watch doesn't fit my personal style, and I will likely end up replacing it with a stainless steel link model once the version 2 comes out.
At the end of the day, all of these decisions are based on your own personal sense of style, so have fun and wear whatever you like!
