My delivery date Oct.27-29th order is preparing to ship. 🤷‍♂️
Ahhh! There’s hope for me.

Unrelated to deliveries…
How can I “force” a backup of my current S4 without unpairing?
Would like to restore the S7 tomorrow from a recent S4 backup, but don’t want to unpair it… TIA

I've seen Louisville sit for 2 days then suddenly at like 2am on delivery day there's an outbound scan and it's in Phoenix later that morning for delivery to me. It's nerve-wracking though :D

Yep. This is exactly how it's worked in the past... mine's been in Louisville since yesterday before noon... I have no doubt it will arrive on time, as promised... this is the same pattern that I've seen in the past for Watch, iPad and iPhone when ordered for release day delivery coming from China.

I did! (Not replacing my S5 though). I still think release day stock in the uk don’t be trackable from China but usually a central distribution hub (sycnreon) and when they are passed to a local courier. I’m assuming UK orders have had some updates by now if receiving tomorrow

Hello Jinjin! I see this years iPhone thread is still going strong!

Good info as always, UK S7’s should see DPD tracking movement this evening.

Well I got lured back in with my S7 pre-order, that larger screen was too tempting! Gonna sell my S5, likely for peanuts!

I may join you on the MB Pro pre-order, bring on the event next week!

This seems like a good time to pull out my old iPhone story, so here goes. I was on month-to-month with Verizon because I knew that AT&T was going to support the new iPhone. This is the very first iPhone, mind you. At the time, I lived in Maryland and the nearest Apple Store was in Columbia, MD. So, the Friday release date came and went and I didn't go buy the iPhone. I decided to call the Columbia Apple Store on Saturday and told the person, "I'm sorry to bother you, because you must have a long line of people waiting to get the new iPhone." He replied, "Oh, there are no lines." I replied, "There are no lines? Well, do you have any iPhones?" He replied, "Oh yes, we have iPhones." I hung up and made a beeline to the Columbia Apple Store. It was as thick as a small brick and worked on the Edge network and WiFi. Thank goodness for WiFi because the Edge network sucks. But it was an iPhone and I was glad to have it.
