Woo hoo! Congratulations!!! Welcome to the club. Hope you enjoy your Apple Watch. It will serve you well :)
Thank you! I lucked out BIG time today. I was typing on my iPhone 12 pro earlier as I excitedly got the AW7 in my hands (or my wrist haha). So may have had some typos haha. My local Apple store was out of the 45mm in all of the colors. Except they were low in stock of the PRODUCT(Red) AW7 and the Green watch in the 41mm. I asked them how often they restock — one of their employees said they usually restock every 3-4 weeks, but with the new AW7 this year, they really have no idea when they'll get a restock of the watches. I played around in the store with the sizes — after reading some of the threads here, I read somewhere that the 45mm was starting to look a little bit too big on the wrist for most people and I didn't want the watch to look too big on my wrist. I don't really have small wrists per say, but not big wrists either. I was a little nervous whether or not the watch looks too small on my wrist — but that's probably because I'm used to seeing a big screen on my wrist (always had the 42/44mm size) but the 41mm is pretty similar to the S3 42mm. So I pretty much had to decide quickly whether or not I should wait to get the starlight watch that I had originally intended to purchase, or do a 360 and do something new and different since they were low in stock with the watches that they had available. My best friend, who I was shooting engagement photos today told me my new AW7 looks perfect on my wrist compared to my old 44mm AW6, and thought the green looked really nice.

I was a bit nervous about whether or not the green color on the watch would look too green according to Apple's website. Seeing it in person, it's actually a really nice green color. Depending on how the light hits the watch, it's almost similar to the midnight color. All of my 45mm bands fit perfectly on my 41mm watch somehow. My braided solo loop band looks a little too big – width-wise on my 41mm watch, but I'm going to keep all of my bands just in case I decide to go back to the bigger size next year, or if Apple decides to change up the sizing again with the watches. Plus I purchased 4 new braided solo loop bands a few weeks ago and I want to be able to enjoy the bands and not have to purchase new ones again for the 41mm size. 😅 I'm just surprised at myself on how I enjoy the green color since I've also always gone with the silver watches from Apple!

Wearing the Green AW7 GPS with the english lavender in the silicone band. Switched out my 45mm Dark cherry solo loop braided band to the 41mm English lavender silicone band. Originally was going to get the abyss solo loop band (great color combo with the green) but they were out of stock, so I opted for the english lavender silicone band (not the solo loop) and I ended up enjoying this color combo! lavender/purple is my favorite color, but something about this color combo just pleases me. I think the size of the watch is perfect on my wrist — not sure why I was worried about whether or not it looks too small haha.

Also attaching my old photo I posted a few days ago while I still had the 44mm silver AW6. It definitely looked a little too big on my wrist compared to the 41mm

Thanks! I'm still holding onto my 12 Pro.. I literally almost decided to buy the 13 Pro. But I decided Apple took enough of my money this year, and I'm broke. haha. I'm holding off of buying more apple stuff, unless they come out with something even more cooler that's going to make me end up having some FOMO.

Oh trust me we are all broke. Saving mode is being activated after this month. Hopefully next purchase will be next year in September. I usually start saving a year before. So I don’t have to worry. Been upgrading last 10+ years and never missed a year. Consistency is on another level. Hopefully you will be able to join.

If Apple comes up with anything new in the iPhone 14 pro, I may consider it. Though I am curious about the rumored smart glasses that Apple may or may not be coming up with. Now that is something I'm interested in seeing if it would be possible, or if it'll be deaf friendly for me with Siri. I was a bit disappointed with HomePods this year. I was sort of hoping that Apple would come out with a display homepod so I can read what siri is saying as I'm talking to siri. Amazon Alexa is something I have considered looking into, but I've wanted to stay within the Apple ecosystem and have it be connected across my devices. Oh well.

I so agree! Loving my green so much. Especially that it looks black unless under direct light. My silver Ss series 5 remains so I have the best of both worlds!

Woohoo! I'm glad to see another fellow Green AW user! :) I'm just still shocked I like the green so much after being a silver watch wearer for a few years! I think it's fun to try something new other than buying the same color every year. I definitely feel like the green watch gives me a 2-in-1 color where, like you mentioned, looks black under direct light but looks green when there's no harsh lighting. Definitely getting used to the darker look on my wrist than the silver color haha. I always opted for the silver because I thought the silver would match with clothing better than a dark watch! haha.

@LFC2020 You were right about the sizing of the solo loop. I picked up a size 5 and it’s heaps more comfortable and doesn’t leave an imprint on my wrist but still secure enough to not go up and down my wrist.

The two size 4s are going back. Apple must be sick of me returning stuff all the time 🤣
What size solo loop did you wear before? I had a 4 with my 44 Al, but wanted it tighter for surfing. This time I wanted to try a 5 just for a little more give, and on my new 41, it almost feels snug.

Wondering if because the 41 is SS?

What’s your experience been like?

I had a size 4 last year for the Cyprus green solo but that had a small tear and I returned it. Haven’t had a solo until now.

I got two size 4 and they felt really tight and left imprints after wearing it for an hour or two.

Picked up a size 5 today and it’s much more comfortable and yet still snug enough to not slide all over my arm.

My wrist is 155mm.

Sure is a blessing, lot of less fortunate people out there.

Needed that weekend after a long 2 month in lockdown, think my poor baby car needed it more, got to thrash her, cleared the cobwebs out, didn't lose my license lol, not smart idea hitting 140km on a shopping strip 40km zone 😬 made sure it was safe when doing so, got a evil look from a lady. 🤦‍♂️ half the street was looking. 😂

So you back on the team solo loop bandwagon?
