I already have the graphite SS, I mentioned I was considering returning it for a titanium since I’ll be keeping the watch for 2 years, would be nice for it to stay pristine since it’s now been confirmed that the graphite SS does not have a DLC coating (like the SBTi) but rather a PVD coating.

Your graphite SS should hold up really good with PVD. My gold SS S4 has PVD & it looks amazing after 3 years of daily use.

I got a message from Apple stating that my order has been delayed and I shall be informed when my Apple Watch is ready for shipping. I was really hoping that Apple would be shipping my watch by the first week of November but now the shipping date is between 17 Nov-24 Nov.

Not even. The only SS model that has DLC is space black and this year only the Hermes model has that colour available. Gold SS is also PVD, and silver doesn’t have a coating (which also makes it possible to polish scratches out, which is great).

I ordered Apple Watch 7 Starlight 41 mm and it was supposed to ship by 7th November and now has changed to 17-24 Nov.

Without wanting to rub salt into any wounds - FYI my natural Ti 44mm (with braided solo) has just charged and switched to preparing to ship. Delivery date still showing 10th-17th.

I just checked out all Apple Watch 7 models in India and should you want to order a watch now the shipping dates are between 19 Nov to 25 Nov.

Same here. What convinced me that it was ok was trying on a Series 6 graphite/Milanese in an Apple Store a week before the Series 7 released. This demo unit had no visible scratches on the watch body or the magnetic clasp and the employee said they’d had that demo unit for a while. I thought that was pretty convincing.

I’m not one of those people who is super sensitive to minor scratches. I’ve only owned silver SS watches which do get scratched pretty good over time. So having a protective coating will be a win for me.

Some locations and couriers ship to a local hub before the tracking wakes up (eg DHL to UK will ship to Germany first and then sort out individual packages)

I’m wondering if I might regret choosing the Dark Cherry band with the gold watch. I’ve been seeing the brown leather bands and kind of like that color better surprisingly. I need to see about getting more bands after my watch comes. I always stick with one - black sport loop. So plain lol that’s one reason I went with the leather band this time even though it is a December delivery.

The dark cherry is nice. It will be one of the options I grab for my wife's Gold SS. Her's will be the sport band though, because she won't want to swap the leather out everyday to workout.

Mine sat in China for almost 4 whole days before it finally started making its way to the US

I have the same message and it’s been like that for days. I think the Chinese mafia has hijacked a shipment of Apple watches! Not too thrilled… My new MacBook Pro is also coming through Shanghai, but no mysterious message like this one.

Nah, that's just a smudge or a hair (depending on what you're looking at). It's still pristine.

Thanks for the replies @mikezmac @techtop and @partickpiteo. I guess I will be lucky to get it on the 2nd. Looks like there is an issue with the Apple tracking page. When I click on track it gives me an error page.
