I've just ordered this one. I've been using the original one that spigen released before nightstand was implemented. Decided to upgrade to this. Should be here sometime this week.

Anyone know if someone on eBay etc have any knock offs from Apples original stand? I like that circle shape it has, but Apples is too damn expensive for me right now.

Not specific for an Apple Watch however, I use one of these:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/JACOB-JONES...qid=1457368039&sr=8-9&keywords=mens+desk+tidy

You can feed the charging cables through the back (it has 3 slots where the cables come out at the top - where the tablet is sitting in that picture, so that the cable hidden inside but still charges your device) so you can charge whatever device you need to (watch, phone, tablet, whatever!!). I use it for my Apple Watch next to my bed + my other watches and I can also use it to store other small bits and pieces!

Perfect for me!!

At this point after a year or so, what does the group feel the best overall dual charging dock/stand is best for the AW and 6s+?

I am torn between the Belkin Valet but its pricey and the Moxiware duo.

I bought the Belkin Valet last year and still very happy with it. No regrets.

Can you use the watch in alarm clock mode?

I would like one for alarm clock mode that holds the iPhone and watch.

I'm still very happy with my W3.

I think the W2 might be exactly what I am looking for. Do you know if it can do alarm clock mode when charging the phone?

Here is my Enblue W3 pictured with the AW in Nightstand mode.

As you can see, it does work this way, but if you plan on hitting the crown, I'd suggest making or buying a simple L bracket and gluing or velcroing it to the back of the stand to support this feature.

Excellent! Thanks so much. Would it be able to support an iPad pro?

I've been following this thread since the beginning and I don't recall this being posted...

I'm increasingly wary of stands that result in metal-on-metal with the Apple Watch, but it's another worth considering.

st-180_2_1.jpg

There is NO metal on metal contact. The charger is raised about 1/8 of an inch off the metal so the watch will never touch the stand. You will not even notice that it is raised when the watch is charging. I have this stand. By far my favorite as I have tried nearly every stand in this thread.

You're welcome! Since I don't have an iPad Pro, I can't say without evidence, but if I had to guess I would say it shouldn't be a problem, at least with a W3

Thank you for doing the measurements. I think it should work as the stand looks pretty sturdy and that vertical piece on the back looks tall enough for support.

The vertical back isn't very high, but it should be high enough for support. After all, a charging base like this is only for holding the device(s) in place, charging, and looking nice while doing such, not for putting pressure or using the device while on the stand. I would imagine Enblue will be able to answer your questions if you're still unsure. Here's their contact email- info@enbluetec.com

It depends largely on the band you use. I can use nightstand mode with some, not with others. I have a projection clock in my bedroom, so I don't use nightstand mode anyway, and have another small rubber stand for travel which does support nightstand mode.

Check the Enblue site regarding the IPP. I think they said it's too heavy for the W3.

thank you DustinDep for a good video and good review. I have received these today from amazon.com and can confirm they 42mm and 38mm can work with this easily (unlike spigen model)

When making my decision i also found other videos on youtube useful

Nice work! I know they say that it fits both sizes, but I often wondered if it was truly possible, as I've only ever seen it in the flesh with a 38mm version and it seems to fit perfectly, so I wasn't sure if the 42mm version would end up being too tight a fit. How are you finding them for snugness on the 42mm version?

I know the magnet on the Grommet charger is good, so it's possible that they allowed the space for both sizes and it's the magnet that makes it stay perfectly, rather than it having to rely on exactly where the base is. (But I don't own one myself.) -I have the DuoStand version, which I know fits both because it sort of sits with the back facing down, rather than sideways, so the perceived difference is that the width of the watch may affect how flush it sits on the base of the stand with the NightStand version. (My nephew has got one, but he's only ever tried it with the 38mm Watch that he has, so I can only speculate at this point what the fit will be like with the 42mm). -if he lived closer, I'd borrow his and test it. With you saying that it works well though for both sizes, this gives me hope. But would be good to learn from you these finer details, as I've been tempted to get myself one of the smaller NightStand versions (for space convenience reasons), so would be useful to get your opinion on this before I start spending any more money.
