If it's anything like the sports loops I've had for years and years - forever. That said this trail loop is a bit softer than the sports loops so good question.
For $100 it better last long. lol

Maybe apple are making these so hard to get hold of because they know there’s an issue and they’re going to get a lot of returns?! 😬
If mine gets to that state, then I will be returning and asking for replacement. I think that’s beyond the threshold of fair wear and tear for such a new product.
Isn't it just where it attaches so will not be seen when worn?
The Apple guy at the nearby store told me they many people return the trail loop for this velcro problem.
Really people? It’s a Velcro band, what the hell else do you think it’s gonna do? This is normal wear and tear. Any Velcro does this, and it’s on the part of the watch band that isn’t seen. It’s not like the Velcro stops working. Mine is still just fine.
All my sport loops did the same thing, but they held just fine. Is a watch band suppose to look brand new forever?

Wow. Just wow. This went sour real quick. It's Velcro what else is it supposed to do? Go look at your car seat belt...does it look new? Nah. I'm sure it looks pulled and worn. Guess what? Still work fine.
Velcro that pulls like this after just a short time of use will lose its strength over time. Sure we all have used lots of Velcro in the past and some is better quality than others. When it frays it loses strength. For £100 I would be very disappointed to see fraying so quickly
No that simply not true. Mine is as strong as day one. It’s not losing any grip, and this is not poor quality at all.
I have had zero issues with any of my sport loops, and they have all been pulled. Zero issues with it being secure
Buy the Chinese knock offs from Amazon. If they fray just buy new ones And don’t worry about it.
I have been periodically checking Apple Store for a m/l black/gray trail loop for weeks now without success. A moment ago I checked and it’s available for pickup tomorrows at an Apple Store near me. earlier today it wasn’t available until 12/5/22.
