They may well do in the future. I doubt the current band options are going to be the only ones available for the Ultra. Apple knows people will buy more bands due to their collecting nature especially as the bands are so easily swappable.

Maybe it’s just me but I’m not digging the new trail loop which is odd since my previous strap was the Nike loop

For the ultra, I feel like I have to tighten it too much so that it’s not sliding around. It’s also so stretchy that it’s hard to keep in place unless it’s strapped down well which doesn’t feel very comfortable to wear for long periods

Alpine loop has been treating me well so far.

Personally I don’t have those issues. I do tighten it as far as it goes so it’s not loose at all. I’m fine with that. Also the stretchiness is not an issue for me and the watch and the band stay in place fine. I really like the Sport Loops and the Trail Loops are a more comfortable and better quality.

Maybe you guys can help me with a question here? Is the trail loop the same material as the Alpine Loop bands? I purchased an Ultra with Orange Alpine Loop, and it gave me some nasty hives (red bumps and itchy) where the band was. I only went with the Orange to match my Orange Leather Case on my 14 Pro.

I have my old Milanese loop on it currently, but it looks tacky, and I want an band that matches my new watch.

my guess is they are both nylon or polyester. Buy one and try it out. you have until 1/8/23 to return it under apples holiday return polive.

I’ve had both and they definitely feel different. According to Apple’s website the Alpine Loops are made from polyester whereas the Trail Loops are made from nylon. Maybe you’re allergic to polyester. You can always buy a Trail Loop and try it out. If you don’t get on with it you have the extended Christmas return policy to return it.

How often do you guys change bands? I put on a Apple Link this weekend but will probably put the trail loop on later today. Different straps for different occasions?

I'm going with the Trail Loop, and I'll update here on how it goes.

I usually have a daily wear and then switch only for exercise. My daily wear I'll usually wear for as long as I can till the band disintegrates or tears somehow.

This is my first Apple Watch with metal links. All my previous Apple Watches had the more plastic like bands - I had no problem switching those out daily but with the metal bands I have yet to get over the feeling. lol.

But at most, once a day for exercise. Now, every other day.

The Alpine loop feels more like a soft tent material almost. The trail loops feel super soft like cotton - even softer than the sports loops of other Apple Watches.

As someone who as worn Apple Watches since the A3 - my skin is sensitive and will start having problems if I don't let it breathe - I have to wear the watch with enough looseness to allow breathing. One reason why I prefer the Trail Loops is because it helps my skin breathe more. If I wear any other band it has to be loose enough to prevent problems with the skin.

I'm finding that with the increased weight and size of the Ultra, I find I default to putting the band on a lot tighter than I usually do.

Whatever you do, don't let it get wet - I'm kinda tall and often times water will drop down the back side of my hand (pinky side) and that part of the band can be problematic if not careful. I usually have to wash the trail/sports loops every few (2-3) weeks for them to play nicely with my skin (exercising with a Nike band) - if using one band, would recommend cleaning it a lot more frequently.

Hope this helps. - Good luck ! Let us know what you find out and what works.

Yeah I shower with my watch on, but granted it was with a Link Bracelet/Milanese Loop. I'm on the shorter side, I guess I'll have to wash the band every 2 weeks or so huh? No issue. Thanks for your comment! Its helps me a lot. I had contacted Apple over this and they asked me a bunch of questions about this, and wanted pics. I don't want anything to come from it, Really.... I just wanted to know if they had an solution or answer on an different band. But your answer helped me tons.

Apple HATES black... Apparently. Every time they make a black product, they discontinue it, or replace it with some shade of gray and call it black...

I want a true black braided loop, and a true black trail loop.

On another note. I NEVER have allergies, or any reactions to materials. This is the first time I have some weird issues. Occasionally I have an itch at the edge of where the band meets my arm. The weird thing is it comes and goes, and I do not see any marks/bumps or anything that shows an irritation. Most of the day, I do not notice anything, but every once in a while, I get this itch.

Just ordered the black/orange tab trail loop from Apple delivering in 2 days. I have the blue/grey one right now and it’s super comfortable. Hardly notice I’m wearing the Ultra with this band.

Same here. The Trail Loops are really comfortable like the Sport Loops and unlike the Alpine Loops and Ocean Bands. They’re also easier to put on and secure as well as take off. The colours could be better but I’ve got use to the blue/grey I’ve had for a while and I do like the black/grey I got recently. I’m hoping for some more interesting colours in the future though.

Hi all!
I have a quick question for you, owners to the Trail Loop.
Hos snug is the fit of the metal lugs that snap into the watch itself?
Do they fit the watch tightly or do the get a bit loose like some Sports Bands in the regular Watch?
I am asking because with the Sports Band, being made of fluoroelastomer material (similar to latex), although being a bit loose the do not rattle.
In the case of the Trail Loop, and being the lugs made of Titanium, if they do not get tight, they night rattle.
Can you please share your experience with this particular detail of the Trail Loop band?

There’s variance in the lugs. My alpine is nice and snug. All the trail loops seems to have slightly looser lugs. Tried quite a few and some were more snug than others. Some rattled a little.

My trail loop is a little loose but, it doesn’t rattle. The looseness is probably there to aid sliding it into the watch. I have no problem with it That way.

Has anyone got the genuine trail loop from Apple? If so you can see a "M/L" on the titanium "lug". I'm just checking to see if the one I have is genuine. Thanks.

I have 2 genuine trail loops. Yes, one lug has 49mm on it and the other lug has M/L on it. Both are in the outer edges.
