Anyone going from ultra to ultra 2, have you noticed the dial has less resistance with the 2?

Feel like the original had slightly more resistance that I liked better.

If you mean the crown, yes I noticed that too. It spins freer like a S8/9. It clicks better than the U1, but I too preferred the resistance of the U1. The U2 crown also wiggles more than the U1. Wondered if I got a problem one, but it sounds like the way the new crown is.

My U2's crown doesn't seem to wiggle...

Not really noticeable in normal use. Only if you try with a fingertip on the edges of the crown with it off your wrist. Or if you rock you finger on the crown like taking a ECG. You can see the crown wiggly/wobble side to side.

So.. long story, anyways had twos Ultra 2 shipped to me. They are the same.. spins very freely. Prefer the original.

It is a marketing twist. No reason to upgrade, but you don't want to be that fool who has 60% less transistors, DO YOU?
I'm late to the convo, I know.
I was just checking out the details telling me I indeed had no reason to mind the AWU2 over my AWU1 I purchased last summer, mainly to have some health monitoring after a auto-immune disease that obviously nobody knows about where it comes from...

To be on topic: let's be nerds that know their mathematics well:
if...

the AWU2 has 160% transistors compared to the AWU1 (being 100%)

Then...

the AWU1 has 62.5% the amount of transistors compared to the AWU2 (then being 100%)

which meanzzzz....

I feel barely like a fool having 37.5% less transistors than the new AWU2 has 😎

Looks like solid math to me! ;)

Bought my son, a college student, a new MacBook Air 15 inch. Received a $100 gift certificate from Apple. Bought myself a new Apple Watch ultra. Gave my wife my perfectly functioning Apple Watch six Cellular. My wife sold her Apple Watch four wi-Fi for $175.

Net cost $525.

The upgrade over my Apple Watch six is extensive. The battery life is phenomenal.

Three people are very happy with their "new "Apple watches.

I think a lot of the "extra transistors" in the AWU2 are going to be used by features and software we haven't seen much of just yet. I've run exclusively with my Ultra 2 since it arrived and my Fenix 7XSS has sat in the drawer. That'll likely change during the summer months as I get into the water more, but so far the AW only training experience has been excellent. I did a great many endurance events using Garmins with fewer features and managed just fine.

In the UK the AWU 1 is now discounted down to £669 at most places and the AWU 2 is £799.

Would you still get the AWU 2 and at what price for the AWU 1 would that decision change?
Apple selling refurbished AWU1s for £589.

That's £210 less than an AWU2.

What to do...?

Can anyone confirm whether the Ultra 2 when sold in Canada has the blood oxygen feature turned on?

I'm thinking of the possibility of trading in my US Ultra 1 for a Canada Ultra 2 when I'll be in Canada over the winter. From Apple Store Canada, I already see it's valued at about 330CAD.

I wonder if there is any functional difference between a US Ultra 2 and Canada Ultra 2 (besides blood oxygen feature). How would I find out?
