I do not ever, in any lifetime, want a mouse of that bulk, size or complexity.
It’s quite lovely to use. I like Apple’s Magic Mouse, but the Logitech MX Master is my main mouse. It’s comfortable and works well. Plus, it’s quick to switch between devices.

Honestly I just use my Logitech MX Master 3S with my Mac (and PC). I have yet to see a better mouse.

It's not really a gaming mouse, but it's a very good all-rounder. And I don't game competitively so I don't really care.

I'd say Apple should do what Dell & HP does. License the logitech mouse and put an Apple logo on it.

Fun fact: I once asked Apple employee about charging port situation and the response was «bro just plug it in and go make some tea».

Which I genuinely don't mind. The primary issue with Magic Mouse is not the way it charges, but rather that it's an atrocious product which is completely unusable, at least for humans, and performs about as well as 30-year old non-optical mouse, in terms of latency and precision.

The redesign can't come soon enough.

I love the Magic Mouse. I prefer the battery one because it's quieter than the new ones. So a new just has to dead quiet.

It amazes me that a company as big as Apple with $Billions in resources cannot find the resources to redesign a mouse that has been effectively unchanged since 2009! 15 years! I wouldn't mind, but it wasn't the best mouse to start with, and only got worse once they put the charging port at the bottom.

It is about time. I purchased the Magic Mouse last month for home and travel to compliment the Logitech MX Master I use on campus. Used it for an hour and my hand just ached. I returned it the next day. Awful design! I use the Logitech MX Master all day with no issues what so ever. Never have used a more comfortable mouse than the Logitech MX Master 3s.

I already posted the leaked product page for the "Magic Mouse 2"...But think they are going to rename it Pro and have a pro max version, as there is already a "2"

lol, that'll never work. The USB c port must be on the bottom.

I for one would appreciate seeing a better new design. But we'll see I guess. If anything they could keep the design similar by keeping the capacitive scolling and smooth surface, but make it more ergonomically bulbous for contouring to the natural curve of a hand. And have some physical back/forward button. Though I usually remap the forward button to "home" button so I can get back to the top of pages right away.

That's why I like my MX Anywhere 3s mouse. It pretty much fits my hand well and has all the buttons I need. And the adjustibility.

Apple Watch charger compatibility + making the Mouse thin enough so the Apple Watch charger puck can remain attached during use.

Who needs a fix?
The comment section is full of Apple fans who tell us ordinary users, that we are just to dumb to understand the genius design of the mouse. That it’s perfect in every way.
It doesn’t need a fix. It just needs better users.
Everyone who complains about the holy Magic Mouse is just not worth to use it. Period.

The worst part is I randomly accidentally swipe back when scrolling down.

The port location, as I have always said, looks offensive, but is a nothing burger in practice because of long charge time, very short time needed to charge for a day and because we have devices/apps to give us weekly/ monthly reminders.

I switch between Magic Mouse and average cheap wired but solid mouse to change postion slightly and when tired of accidentally swiping back or miss touch.

Rockin' my First Gen (2009) AMM. (Also a First Gen Trackpad.) Got a set of AA/AAA Enloops w/ charger from Costco for $20 which are still going strong. Adjusted how I hold it to take advantage of its shape. Got BetterTouchTools. One of Apple's best, and most enviro-friendly devices. (You must adjust how you hold it, and use BTT.) HTH, NSC.

One of the worst mice ever produced. They could pay ME 85 EUR in order to have it and I would still find it a bad value and unusable.

I remember buying one when it first came out in 2009 out of curiosity (even though I had tens of mice for my computers), then got the MM2 as part of a bundle. I have been a heavy desktop user since the 80s, have bought and used too many mice to list, every Apple mouse I have used was rather terrible.

I’m perfectly fine with my Trackpad - was a very long time ago I had a Mouse.
Thing was, my nightly self just was eating them up - and I didn't stomach it well 😆
The trackpad however has a peaceful place at my desk.

Hopefully the new mouse fixes the issue with dead clicks. I have the mouse that came with my M3 iMac, and while I don’t really have any complaints with the mouse or keyboard, there are times where it seems like I have dead clicks with the mouse. It’ll click and I can see the input, but there isn’t a response so I have to double click at times when I shouldn’t need to. Could be a setting issue that I haven’t looked at, but that’s really my own gripe.
