Go to an Apple Store, or call Apple and find out the EXACT details for any scenarios that you can think of. If you don’t like what you hear, cancel the loss/theft add-on.

If we the customers are a little confused, I’m sure there will be confusion from Apple employees as they try to get the wording right on the who, what, and where details.

It’s not just the deferred interest, it’s also the fact that if you’re financing an Apple product and you use the card for anything else, then you have to pay 24% APR on any other purchases.

The card has a variable APR from 15% to 28%. The fact you are getting a near maxed out 24% rate, i guess it says something about your situation.

Haha you think I have this card? No. I have the VentureCard by Capital One, which actually does reward you for purchases (not charge exuberant interest rates) and is great for people who travel like me. I researched the card because I was curious what the deal was to finance an Apple purchase. I’d never ever get the Barclaycard.

That’s my assumption as well. I purchased the plan from apple, on apple.com, i just talk to Apple and have it taken care of.
I don’t expect the kind of experience as some of you described, apple will keep an eye on the products it sells.
[doublepost=1536894038][/doublepost]Also, notice the link you posted, it’s an apple webpage for filing the claim. Meaning apple is at least taking a part of the claim process. If i file a claim on apple.com, i doubt i will be given a used phone from a third party. It should be the same as those replacement phones apple give out at Genius Bar.
Yes this correct you get the same phone you would get at the Genuis Bar its handled through Apple just assurant fulfills it

Before this unnecessarily revived thread turns into stupidity:

Apple still handles the Genius Bar damage repairs and replacements. Sheesh.

Assurant is the third-party provider that services LOST or STOLEN phones only.

Don’t lose your phone or have it stolen, and you never have to deal with them.

Awesome, I was curious about that.

I had an iPhone 6s Plus replaced before a long time ago when I had ATT and they used this company. I actually was sent a brand new iPhone 6s Plus still sealed in the box at the time. Maybe I got lucky? It wasn’t refurbished that was for sure!

You would expect this from the carriers (in fact, ALL carriers) but never Apple... Glad I only got the regular AppleCare+
