I wouldn't even care if they installed a goofy version of WatchOS instead of iOS to work better with the small screen.

I would basically prefer it at this point

iOS has become such a bloated pig

I'd love a 4" device built to do the bare essentials (music, navigation w/ CarPlay, take photos, very light app usage to accomplish quick tasks, phone calls and messages)

My daughter has only just upgraded from this phone. Amazingly the battery still works fine. The one my son had is also fine too. Apple should release something this size and call it the iPhone nano.

IMHO one of the best iPhones Apple has ever made. Classic, legendary design that still stands the test of time. I still use mine today. Just wish the battery would last more than a day.

These are really easy to open, and batteries are cheap... go for it!

Yes. I’ve already replaced it once, but alas the battery I bought was not of very good quality. Anyone have any recommendations for a good quality battery? Are the ifixit batteries any good?

They're so light, I used to carry 2 SEs around. Did a quick Sim swap when needed lol.

I feel the same.

Given the growing interest in dumb phones among a small contingent of young folks, I honestly think such a device would be more interesting to a greater number of people than an iPhone Mini, as relatively novel as that was.

Still my daily driver! There's no iPhone to replace it. Tried the 13 mini, but the screen gave me nausea...
I am missing nothing. iCloud works flawlessly, so do the messenger apps I use, and in general all of my daily use apps. Swift and stable. Light, tiny, rock solid. I hope to get 1-2 more years out of it, hoping there's then a state-of-the-art iPhone that does not give me nausea...

I remember those phones, it's strange to me how the screen seemed huge back then and now after using the Pro Max size going back to that size would feel like a Barbie phone. It was perfectly fine back then but not now for me.

if only it worked with the upgraded homekit architecture i'd still be using it too.

It was so much better in many ways than modern iPhones. It had a real rectangular screen, a home button and no notch of dynamic island. Apple made the design worse and worse since then.

Why is the notch and island still getting knocked on? Haven't we humans adapted yet?

Packing an iPhone 13 Pro here. The notch is not even in the way.

I miss the SE. Best iPhone that I owned from a one-handed operation standpoint. Can't operate my 13 Pro with one hand easily.

Used if for 3 years (late 2016 to 2019) wonderful device feels so good in the hands and pockets. and because of the metal design it is sooooo durable you basically can use it without protection. I always bragged about holding one of the Jony Ive signature designs.

If the rule is that a product is vintage 5 years after Apple last sold it, how do they handle Pro iPhones? They stop being sold after 1 year.
E.g. the iPhone 13 will probably be on sale until next year. The 13 Pro dropped off sale a year ago. Does the 13 go vintage in 2029 and the 13 Pro in 2027?
