Outside of the 4s, the SE (for its time) was my favorite to use. When the battery on my OG SE goes bad, I am not going to replace it.

Yes, this is true. The old but gold 5/5S iPhone design was carefully tailored to fit people's hands and pockets.
And not the other way around. Sadly Apple's current management are unable to realize this.

I have my iPhone 5s and it is still operational and can still make WiFi calls. I can barely use it as it’s so small and limiting.

That’s my anecdotal data point.

But not when they're so vintage that the App Store and all the apps is broken

That design was around when Steve died. The 5 was only an internal improvement on 4s.

Oh, how I miss the headphone jack on the first iteration of their SE phone... Speaking of which, I just recently bought myself an iPhone SE 3rd Gen while it was on sale...

Sits perfectly in my hand, and fits in any pocket.
I even have a fresh battery for installation, so it'll last me for a long time.
