If you paid over 1k for an iphone X, you're buying it wrong..lol
I’m not sure if you meant to quote my earlier post in this thread but if you did then let me just say that I can totally understand why the price can be a deal breaker for some people, what I was actually talking about is people who says that the iPhone X is a piece of crap and a complete downgrade over any previous iPhone (and thus dismiss all of its new features) just because they can’t afford it (or whatever other reason related to the price).I think not everyone who says $1000 is too expensive is a "hater". One can love every bit of technology is a Ferrari LaFerrari, but not have $7million to buy one.. doesn't mean they are all haters. I think those of us who have been blessed with the means, or have parents paying for a $1000 phone need to show some grace towards those who can't.

The 256 gb model is 1125 + 10% tax and another 200 for Apple Care + brings the cost to about $1450 at least here in California.
And factoring in the fact that my girlfriend drove from southwestern Utah to Bakersfield, CA to get an X, getting a hotel room, etc, put that total closer to $2000.![]()
Dude AirBnB
She has the money. She doesn't care.
Plus, we all know how reliable AirBnB is.![]()
Apple is not disappointed either, there is only one.No, Apple are not disappointed with the iPhone X.
Dunno why you're correcting his grammar since both are correct. You can refer to a company as a single entity or as a group of people within that entity.Apple is not disappointed either, there is only one.

Exactly Nelliebee!I've reached a point where I hate the iPhone X.
I got the iPhone X as soon as it was released. After the first two weeks of usage and getting used to it I got bored of it quickly. I also hated that sometimes I would accidentally take a screen capture by accidentally pressing the side buttons and I hated that the screen would jump to the top by accidentally touching any part of the top of the screen so I returned it and went back to using my iPhone 8 Plus.
After a few weeks of seeing other people with their iPhone X and hearing from friends that they did not have the issues I did, I was convinced to give it another try. I traded in my beautiful gold 8 plus for an iPhone X and after another 20 days of usage I wish I had my 8 plus back.
I would give anything for the 8 plus back but I've wasted so much money already on this iPhone X and Apple won't let me return/exchange it since its more than 14 days and they won't let me trade it in since they say its too new.![]()
I have said this in several other threads on this exact same topic... for me, the iPhone X does not offer enough innovation to justify a $300 price tag increase. Sure FaceID is nice, but then again TouchID has worked so well. Better HDR screen? The 8 does it so well. Wireless charging? The 8 also has it. Camera system? Already have a good camera with the 7 and 8. So in the end, the reasons to upgrade are not there for me.
All the iPhone X really has is a nice new form factor and almost completely bezel free screen.
We are running 4 concurrent “iPhone Disappointment” threads plus this Price Poll thread (which quickly morphed into a disappointment thread), and I see a number of X “Worst Features” threads cropping up too.Fully agree.

Dont let the iFanBoys make excuses or tell you otherwise… This X-phone is a dog.
On a more positive note...
I have faith that Apple can remove the X-stupidity in the upcoming Plus version of their famous Notch phone.
We’ll see.![]()
No I am Apple fanboy but I don't like what the X has become. A £350 more on top of an already expensive £800 phone with many important features lacking.
I need iOS it works for me which is why I would like a cheaper newer iPhone and hopefully the rumors suggest this is the case. Otherwise I would buy a cheap powerful android phone and never look back.
The OLED allows for curved displays as in the case of the iPhone X corners. My understanding is that lcd does not afford this. The rectangular screens with sharp corners are out. Rounded rectangles are Apple’s ultimate aesthetic. So there is a lot of talk about new iPhone models without OLED which means Apple are backtracking and giving cheaper LCD alternatives.
Me personally I can say the X is not justified at £1150, where at £800 it was already overpriced but I was happy to pay, but £350 more than overpriced phone is not something I wanted to buy.
As I understand it the response for the iPhone X has been poor compared to previous iPhones? Is this fair to say? So as a result Apple will be offering cheaper high end phones?
I would happily pay £800 for a lcd latest Apple iPhone, but certainly not X price. Also many people including me are not happy with the lack of finger print reader and faceid does not do everything touch id does, like sitting on a desk unlocking it at an angle when face is not visible. So in that sense, faceid is a downgrade.
Are the LCD phone rumors as a result of Apple being disappointed with the iPhone X?
Exactly.I personally think the X was just what Apple wanted it to be. A phone where they can test new ideas and designs. They still offer the normal design at a normal price. The X gives the option to try something new. I think they knew it was not for everyone given the fact they kept the classic design with Touch ID. Now for me it will be interesting to see what they adopt from the X in the next release as standard.
Exactly.
Forbes is stating that the X will be shortest lived iPhone in Apple history.
Plans are already in place to roll back production and scrap the X before the end of the year.
Whatever the cost, if/when a new Plus version of Apple’s flagship phone is released i’ll be buying it.For those who are questioning if the iPhone X will be priced similarly where it was this year, will likely be the same again next year, however; offering a lower priced 6.1 LCD iPhone with X like features.
