Even a "small piece of the pie" for Apple is big bucks!
Laptop & desktop unit sales of both PC & Mac have largely stagnated since iPhone & Android came out in '07/'08.

On May 1, 2005, IBM sold their PC business to Lenovo.

Since Apple stopped disclosing units sold they're growing the business by better profit margins. You only have to see the RAM & SSD prices.

That does not mean that the iMac sales are disappointing. Nothing wrong with profit, it is what makes or breaks a company and Apple is doing fine with the 24" M3.

The point I am making is that that the market for desktops & laptops have stagnated at at approx quarter billion units annually worldwide.

Apple hid the Macs units shipped annually because they knew it was coming and it would negatively impact share prices.
