I disagree. Why? You obviously haven't seen my neighbor's car. While the parents drive the nice BMW, their kid drives one of the ugliest Honda Civics I have ever seen. It's lime green with a huge racing wing and has this obnoxious muffler that's annoying as hell when he's coming home from wherever he went. That, to me, is STUPID. If someone where to put those ugly screen caps of your WM phone on an iPhone. I would also say it was STUPID.

Now imagine your screen cap on my iPhone with a lime green shell with the "Motorcycle" ringer. Haha that would look like pure vomit.

You can customize anything and everything you want. It still does not mean much to me. My iPhone, my car, and my MBP are not extensions of my personality. If you want to know about my personality, you come talk to me and not stare at my car which is a Honda Accord coupe with some scratches on the side.

By the way, how do you like the stylus on your WM phone? ;P

Poor choice for an example.

Google maps for WM has transparent buttons for zoom and unzoom with your fingers.

It has the usual support for directions, traffic, calling, adding to contacts, texting the result.

It also can use the built-in GPS on some phones, including the AT&T Blackjack with WM.

you are confusing opinion with the option of being able to customize.
the way that kid did up his car is his opinion/preference,

muscle cars with test pipes are also loud and anoying, as with most cars with test pipes, why do people do that? because it gives you like 20%+ more power when theres no restriction in the exhaust system, now he probably just put in a large muffler for looks, but you never know, ive seen some civics run 9s and they look either like rusted out garbage, or riced up junk. still i think it was on purpose to people would race them thinking its just some stupid civic. you can make a civic run 12s for under $6000USD incl the price of the car.

is it stupid to customize your car so it can handle better? change your stereo so it doesnt sound like crap? most stock systems are garbage with the exception of the mark levinson sys in the lexus SC430. is it stupid to change your tires to higher performance tires from stock?

anyways, i rarely take out my stylus unless i need to handwrite something, the buttons on my phone as you can see are pretty large, i just use my finger to tap everything or use the jogwheel/dpad to select things quickly (or scroll through lists) google maps for WM/S60 was designed so you can operate it with 1 hand, meaning the buttons are large enough for your thumb OR it will accept the D-Pad/Jog wheel input.

a stylus is only used when you need to accurately draw something (IE hand write something or play games when precision is needed, like in insane aquirium, you have to tap individual fish, your thumb or finger is going to be too big)

yes, by far the UI is the smoothest and most organized but at the cost of features because they had to make it simple. if you start including too many icons on the home screen people will get confused and you will probably need to scroll around to find what you need

how many smartphone's and pda phones have you seen? 3? 4? out of the 400+ avalible? i think you've been brainwashed by apple to only like the look of apple products

i give props to making a great UI, its clean and well organized, but who in their right mind leaves out the removeable battery on a device that will be heavily used because of the features it offers? the iphone is way too locked down and restrictive, why do you have to upgrade your OS from 10.3 to 10.4 in order to have your CELL PHONE activated? cell phone << >> computer WTF?

people like the UI even if they hate apple, they use other devices that are no locked down at all and have the great looks of the apple icons on their device and spend 1/5th of the price. IMO thats smart, you get the best of both worlds. the iphone has more shortcommings than offerings, and anyone that has sat down and looked at the specs and played around with the device will tell you that.

BTW if you havent used TCPMP i wouldnt knock it, that program can play almost any format known to man kind. Xvid, Divx, AAC, h264, mpeg.x, flac, ogg, etc, etc

hmm your in the wrong forum trying to sell users of the ipod phone reality They have no idea what so ever...they've been iphonewashed :eek:.
What ever apple says they believe....it's pretty scary really.
If the ipod phone cost 1000$$ they would still believe it's the best lol lol

no multi tasking...example/start to download email then start some music playing hehehe email comes to a grinding halt..apple lied.

Thanks for pointing that out. My bad... too much editing in a hurry. I cut out Blackberry and pasted Blackjack, which I believe should've specified a Bluetooth GPS.

I dont see any Windows Mobile devices using a actual version of Windows Vista for mobiles. And we can change ringtones and everything by hacking it, and its more fun that way lol.

Well-put!

Here's a visual analogy for those who still aren't getting it: If you think these cars (http://www.riceboypage.com/shame/hall_of_shame_11/hallofshame11.html) are "cool" looking, then the iPhone is not, nor will it ever be, for you.

(hahaha ... Geo Storm "Type R" ... that's about as silly as, oh, an iPhone screen on a WM device!)
