Are you buying a new Appletv?

Anyone know what time frame it is for TV shows to be available in iTunes in relation to when they get released on disc? If it is early then the price is worthwhile. If its not, then why would I pay when I could add it to the Netflix cue?

Almost all tv shows are available first thing the next morning, about 7 am. The only exception I know of is Dexter.

Yep, for $99.00 and NetFlix it's a no brainer.

Yep, In order to save money, my wife and I are dropping our cable and getting an Apple TV. We can stream in the TV shows we like to watch and movies with Netflix. Its going to save us around $80 a month to drop cable with the apple tv model.

I was in class during the announcement, but ordered it the second I got home

I always wanted an ATV but it was too expensive, now this is perfect. Just the streaming capability is worth the price in my opinion.

I've got a very powerful HTPC attached to my media room entertainment center. What I've been considering is something simple for netflix streaming, music streaming and other light duty viewing. The new ATV fits the bill fine. Small form factor and nice interface = easy decision. Ordered it yesterday.
