I think the annual fee for that card would pay for AppleCare on all my devices 🤣

Of course if you already have it for other purposes, then you might as well get your moneys worth
FYI the Chase Freedom Flex has no annual fee and does the same thing for me.

This is the first of two things people should look at when deciding to get AppleCare or any insurance. Would you have a problem replacing the device if you broke it. If you can pay $1200 without any financial concern then you probably don’t need AppleCare

This is the second factor. What kind of risk is there. If you never damage or break your electronic devices, then it’s probably not worth getting insurance.
I have insurance INCASE something happens, hoping that nothing does happen. BUT, if something does happen Im insured. That's insurance.

I did with theft and loss mostly because it stresses me out to break or lose something while financing it. I honestly would have bought outright but just wanted the satisfaction of the instant trade in credit *shrug*

Haha it’s great because I can use it for travel interruption too. It’s well worth it! So many perks!

Yes, I'll never not do Applecare. Last week, I brought my MacBook in with a minor defect, it was only a small blemish on the screen with some of the pixels. They sent it to get the display fixed and it was free. It was quoted as a $698 repair

Yep, I did the same thing. For the first time I went with the + with loss and theft. I have been hearing too many armed robberies these days and they take your iPhone....I know I am paranoid and possibly nuts but I will sleep better with this...

Of course.

I've never broken a phone, and don't use cases, but AppleCare+ is good peace of mind.

I’ve always purchased AC+ in the past, and it has often paid off. However, I have Amex platinum and after studying their insurance, I’m going to roll with that as it is already included.

Umm I think we all know what insurance is. At least I would hope so. AppleCare is a form of insurance.
With all due respect. I think it's obvious with some comments...Not all know what insurance is.

are there good alternatives to AC+? Hardly anybody talks about squaretrade anymore
A very good alternative is to buy with a CC that offers insurance, like American Express. Also some CC companies will cover the cost of repair to a certain limit IF you pay your cell phone monthly bill with it. I know one of WellsFargo Visa card do that.
So there are other options, square trade may be a good one just not familiar with them.

I like AppleCare+, you can take the phone into an Apple store or call Apple for repair and your done. Example: my wife got the 12PM on launch day, a few days later her screen had a severe deep scratch, we called Apple and the next day Apple delivered a NEW in the box iPhone to replace it no questions asked....done.

I always get AC+, it has atleast saved me 2ce. I plan to keep my 15 pro max naked (just because the Max tend to be so cumbersome to hold and I dont want to add to it), so AC+ will give me that extra layer of mental peace.

I don't buy Apple Care on most things, but my primary phone that costs $1400 it does give some peace of mind.

And the express exchange is really nice if you ever need service.

However, at the same time I think it's smart not to get it. haha It's a tough decision.

I’ve never bought AppleCare before but looking up the cost of repairs (never mind theft/loss), it would pay for itself in one breakage. I’m super careful with my phones and hardly ever have accidents, but the peace of mind knowing I’d be covered seems worth it to me.

Going to try naked with AC+ this year. Have never had it before, and my 14PM in the Apple Magsafe Case still ended up with a shattered back panel. Figured if it's gonna happen in a case, I might as well just go without a case and have the insurance

Yes, always have taken it monthly because I usually sell it every year. PLUS when I found out Apple wanted $440 to replace the cracked screen on my iPad Mini one month out of warranty if figured another $108 year was worth. Loss and theft isn't an issue, just damaged screens or back.

Definitely worth it, at least at the $9.99/month price imo.

Glass replacement for the 15 Pro Max is $29 with AC+. Without, it’s $379
